Overall, I am happy with the saw but lack of being able to use a dado blade is a big drawback. Review by Glenn

The fence is good although I seem to have a problem keeping it calibrated. There is also a micro adjustment feature which is really useful. At 3 HP and 14 amps, this saw provides plenty of power. My biggest complaint about this saw is you cannot use a dado blade with it and and for me at least, that is a really poor design. HF should come up with something that you can retro fit so that you can use a dado blade. I purchased mine a few years ago and the price was about half of what it is now (Current is $599.99 in 2010). That is a little pricey for a saw w/o dado capacity. You can buy a Rigid brand very similar to this for about the same price and it has dado capacity.

I purchased this item a couple of years ago for my shop.
I am extremely happy with it.
Being made of cast iron, it has the weight it needs to not want to tip over when cutting a 4x8 sheet of plywood alone with no assistance. Really like the large table top.
