I've been woodworking for about 35 years and in my opinion,this is a great saw at twice the price. The quality of this saw is excellent. The accuracy was almost perfect right out of the box. If I had to pick on this saw, I'd have to say that the dust bag is totally useless. After sawing for about an hour I had sawdust all over the shop and maybe a teaspoon in the bag. When hooked up to my shop vac, there was a dramatic difference. Although there was still some dust on the floor, most of the dust was sucked up into the shop vac.

The fence is too short, but I put on an auxiliary fence and it's fine now. Although it does have a few minor flaws, they aren't bad enough not to give this saw a five star rating.

i bought this saw a few years ago and i have used it for many projects and have not had no problems out of it and it runs just as good as the day that i bought it and thats saying alot and it out performs a delta saw that i once had

Cut 3/4" Teak Flooring like it was pine. Angle cuts were accurate and clean.

this is a great saw for the money, I was not convinced to buy it because of the reviews but for the price i decided to give it a try... glad to do it! i didn't have to adjust the fence or anything, just to make sure bolts were secure before use. the blade it comes with works like a charm, if you let it reach full speed and let the saw do its job works great. it may not do super accurate cuts, but for me that i use it for the house and some maintenance at work is great!

I bought this to use for projects in my new house. I didnt want to spend a boat load on one of these in a different brand. I bought this for about $80+ tax and I am very pleased with is. It seems to slide very well, cut very well, feels pretty comfortable to use, seems strong, etc. It may need some slight adjustments out of the box but I love this saw already! I dont know that I would recommend this for professinal use or for your primary job but it is fantastic for your home use and DIY'ers!

First, of course this isn't comparable to a high-end/contractor-grade miter saw; at this price you're delusional if you think it will be. But as far as saws go for the DIYers and homeowners, this is one fantastic deal when on sale! The sliding mechanism isn't perfectly smooth, and the dust catcher doesn't work for garbage (my pouch ripped immediately anyways), but for cutting nice straight cuts this does the job quite well! I didn't adjust the fence or anything like that, I'm sure if you're a regular cabinet builder you may need to, but mine really was pretty nice, I've assembled several pieces of furniture with this chop-saw, mostly shelving units and a heavy-duty aquarium stand. All came out perfect. Haven't even replaced the blade, it's actually a pretty decent blade on it for cutting most lumber. All in all, my dad is even somewhat jealous, since he paid $300 for a different brand 10" without a slide, and this one performs just as well plus has the sliding mechanism for a fraction of the cost. Hands-down I would recommend for anyone other than contractors who use it daily.

needed a saw to build a shed. It was going to take several days so I didn't want to rent. I seen this saw at harbor freight so I bought it. Thinking if it would aleast last intell my shed was built (my shed is 12x16 with a large attic) it would pay for itself. that was 3 years ago it's still going strong even with the original blade. It is great for angles. does them perfect ever time.

I got this saw a few months back and have used it quite a bit. It cuts great and will even chop through pressure treated 4x4 posts like it isnt even there. Great saw!

I own 2 of this unit and am happy with both. One on the truck and one in the shop. They get a workout. Had a yellow saw on the truck and it failed part way through a deck/fence job. I didn't have a lot of cash that day and hit the local HF store. Picked it up for [$] as I wanted to have the 2 yr old $500.00 yellow saw repaired. Was very busy those few weeks and used this guy extensively (after a few adjustments). Yery happy.....Rub the rails with wax paper every morning (as with the other saws)and keep it dry,I have NO problems. The stock blade even lasted a good while. Yes I did spend time initally in adjustments and regular care and maintenence,this saw works well. No falling parts, no sticky guard (minor adjustment), no cracked housing, nothing. Just a great saw.

I've had it for 3 years and love this saw. I built a stand for it mounted on wheels with side supports that are level with the saw's bed. It has made me ultra productive. I love this so much I kind of wish it would wear out so I can move up to the similar 12 inch saw.
