I bought this about 6 months ago and it has saved my back from braking. I have an 8foot trailer that i keep my two four wheelers on at all times with the jack holding the trailer and the four wheelers, so all i have to do is hitch and go, or if i want to move the trailer around without having to hitch it to the back of the truck i can do that too. I can even move the trailer around the grass (with-out the four wheelers of course). Im going back to HF to get another one for my other trailer.

I tow a little trailer with a VW Trike. Having this attached to the trailer makes it to easy, and Easley converts trailer to a working platform by adding the third leg. To cool DUDE!!!

I have abused this jack daily for over 2 years now and it still hasn't broken. Very sturdy unit. I'm buying another one for a second trailer.

I bought this to use to hold up my boat trailer I also bought from harbor freight. My plastic cap was broke when I got it (not a big deal to me). I bolted it on and used it. I like the swing design, that's a really nice feature. It is a little wobbly though. I've been happy over all. It beats lifting the boat trailer myself. I have about 80 lbs of weight on it just about all the time when it's not in use.

I have 4 of these jacks. One on 4x7, one on 5x10, one on a 6x14 and one on a tow behind Log Splitter. The construction could be described as ever so slightly flimsy, maybe just a hint of flimsy on them. I say this because they could be tighter in some places. However, I have found this jack to be VERY WELL SUITED to the four items I have applied this jack to. And to be certain, there are other box stores carrying the exact same thing with different stickers for more green. I have to say that I like the Wheel on this jack MUCH MUCH better then the older plastic center version. If I were to purchase a trailer larger then my 14 footer, Id step up to the double wheel version or a flat bottom jack that tilts up like these do. But again, I have found these to be very durable and reliable and a pleasure to have on all 3 of my Trailers and log splitter.

I would have gone with a flat bottom jack on the splitter instead in retrospect I think, but I can't say that the wheel gives me any "Real" problems. It has actually come in handy moving the thing around in the garage, so I guess it's more of a personal preference then a matter of practicality. Unless your using it incorrectly or for the wrong application, I don't see how you could beat this one at the price. At certain times of the year, they can be had for just under tweenie antlered animals if you work the sales angle.

Installed first one many years ago on a 5*8 ft utility trailer. The first one either a gear broke inside pipe, or the plastic wheel broke (years ago, can't remember). This is second one. It has been on a few years, and has withstood (more than once) being dragged (short distance down road) while trailer was connected, because I forgot to flip it up ! So I am fairly happy with the item. I would recommend to a friend IF purchased at GOOD sale price.

Jack is ok but wobbly, especially if you over-tighten the mounting bolts. This would cause the mounting bracket to bend and make the jack wobbly.

While it didn't have much weight in the trailer it apears the jack binded a little bit while moving the trailer and the ring that holds the whole thing together bent and popped off causing the whole thing to come apart and the trailer fell on its tongue which caused the bracket and the handle on the jack mount to bend and break.





I'll have to see if Harbor Freight will make it right, they usually do.

I have three trailer with this jack on them. I have only had one problem and it was caused by me. I made a too sharp of a turn one time and bent the handle. Another time i jackknifed the trailer and bent the handle. both time I tried to straighten the handle it broke off at the body of the trailer Jack. It seem that they put a pin in to keep the gear teeth meshed and that weakened the crank handle shaft. I will be buying a new Swing-back Trailer Jack and try not to bend the handle.
