For the price, you most likely will never find a tool kit like this one. Everything I needed in one, easy to use little box. I like the drawers and the variety of tools it comes with. I've only used few of them so far, so I can't comment on the durability of them all but everything looks durable enough. I'm sure there will be something that I might think is not built that well but remember, you get what you pay for. I think I got a lot more than I paid for.
The only con I have (so far) is that the size of the wrenches and such aren't labeled on the holder box, so you have to pull each one out to see the size.
Other than that, this is the perfect tool set for the average DIY type or even for everyday use. It's sure no big brand quality set but for the price I'm more then satisfied with this product.

To solve the problem of drawers falling out I
got a threaded Rod or bolt at the hadware store
put a nut or two on each end and you have the drawers so they wont fall out.Also I added a couple clips to the top for a hammer to fit into.
I plan to add a tape measure to with clips etc.
This makes the whole set VERY useable. At the
price you can afford to have one in the house
and another in the car.

First things first, be educated enough to understand that you are purchasing tools from Harbor Freight. So, if you're looking for frills and heavy-duty stuff...don't shop here. With that said, this tool chest is a great value. I love the variety of tools offered in this compact, convenient case. If you're like me, you have owned a couple of these "budget tool kits". Yet I have not owned one that actually HELD the tools in place. All the ones I've owned in the past would open and most of the tools would fall out, but not this one. The tools are placed conveniently with tools of the same type, so all you have to do is pull that drawer out and take it to the workplace. SMART. If you're thinking about buying it, don't think about it any longer. BUY IT!

Hand down the best little toolbox I ever bought. Tools might not be of the greatest quality, but when in a jam this little toolbox has it all except a hammer.
Don't listen to all the negative reviews....for the price you just ain't getting a better toolbox. I'm actually going to pickup another one. Love it.

Picked this up as a Christmas gift for my step-son as a starter tool kit (so I stop finding my tools all over the house, or worse, not being able to find them at all!)





He loved it and asks if he should grab them and help me at any opportunity that arrives.





I specifically went with this set since each tool has its own place, so he (and I) will know when something isn't returned.





Very satisfied with the purchase so far.

This set comes with the majority of tools that most people would ever need. I originally bought this for my son as a starter kit. I was so impressed with what it came included with that I purchased one to tote around with me when I take one of my sports cars out of town. I just added a few other automotive specific tools into an auxiliary plastic toolbox and now have everything I need to do most repairs. The great part is that I don't have a huge financial investment in them (like my shop tools and toolbox) in case they ever get unsuspectingly pinched.





Would love to see an extra drawer or compartment just to put miscellaneous things in.

Great tool set, i bought it when i was 16 and im now im 21 and still use it to this day. Don't listen to all the poor reviews, this set is great and any problems anybody had is because of negligence. I even used one of the screwdrivers to remove a stuck oil filter and the screwdriver didnt break even after hammering and prying on it.

Only tool that i have had a problem with was the ratchet and that was just a month or so ago. But HFs lifetime warrenty on hand tools took care of that.

I would buy another one...if I needed but I don't because this one is still going strong 5 years of abuse later.

Only flaws are the drawers do fall out if you tip one way but a threaded rod and nuts fixed that. The only other is the lack of storage for other tools but you can't really ask for much more from this great set.

What this toolset has going for it is that all the pieces fit pretty well and have their own labeled slots for each tool. It's nice knowing where to find the tools when you need them.

What it doesn't have going for it is the tools themselves. While I would say the majority of the tools are useful, some just seem so crumby to the point of uselessness.

I tried using the 8" wire strippers to cut some 12 AWG wire and they seemed to bend under the stress. I then tried to strip some of the wire, and it just wouldn't do the job. I would throw these in the garbage, except they are holding the case of wire terminals in place.

The screw drivers seem pretty decent with a comfortable grip. The pliers seem small in general, and should do the job in light duty work. The utility knife's blades are sharp and cut the casing on Romex cable easily, but changing the blade after cutting some sheetrock is a pain. You need to take a screwdriver to open it up, and then all the pieces inside are loose.

Basically, these tools are nice to have as a backup set for when you can't get/find better tools for the job. Remember to put them back in their rightful place, and they'll serve you in a pinch.
