I bought this gun to go with another roofing nailer for a siding project. This turned out to be our gun of choice. It shot every nail flush, never had one issue and out performed the "name brand" gun. I used it to hang over 600 pieces of cement fiber board siding. I'm sure it works great for roofing as well. I would buy another one in a heartbeat.

Bought this tool to shingle my garage roof and continue on with other projects if it proved to be a good tool. Used it for over 3600 roofing nails and it worked great. Found that it does take some getting used to in order to drive nail in straight, especially in the bump fire mode. I believe that comes with all nail guns, almost like shooting a gun, the nail goes in the direction you shoot it. Any roofer you will notice always has a hammer with him for that extra hit every so often. Definately would buy another. HF also credited my account for the sale price which came out about a week after I ordered it.

I was in doubt of using the roofing gun on the hardie plank siding BUT i am glad i did. It performed better than the Hitachi nail gun FOR siding. This roofing gun has preformed GREAT!!!!!!! If we continue to install more hardie siding we will buy another gun. Very surprise with this gun, very!!!! I would recomend this gun for siding and for roofing. Imagin, if it works good on siding can you imagine how it will work on the roof?

I am a home improvement contractor from time to time I need to shingle some roofs did about 40sq with the gun no problems as of yet but like the manul saids keep the gun well oiled shingles are abrasive the only time I ever had a jam was my fault loaded the nails wrong did that once and you can buy nails anywhere to load gun.

This item is by far the best priced roofing nailer I found anywhere. It worked well and did a fanastic job. I needed an item that could assist me in getting a roof put on my storage shed after a large wind storm destroyed the existing one and this did the job beautifully. Was a great help being I had limited time to take on such a task. I would more than recommend this item to anyone who asks, even to a professional that might just need a back up nailer!

Bought this with a 25% off c-pon and a box of 7/8 inch nails to put some roll roofing on my back deck, sure beat the heck out of years I have used a hammer, and pounded my fingers. The only thing I can see wrong is the plastic drum to hold the nails, a good drop off a roof and I think the gun would be done for, I made sure my air line was up on the roof securely. I wish they sold 1/2 in nails, the 7/8th were alittle long and popped through, I also used a air regulator to keep the nails from going through the hot roofing as it sat in the sun, it made short work of my patio. lent it to my daughter and she ended up hiring a crew who used my gun to finish her patio, ( I was not happy about that, had to clean tar from it)
