This press has no problems that I have found so far. It worke dto replace the bearings on my rearend carrier in my truck and the control arm bushings. overall a good product for the money

this shop press works like a champ! I bought it the other day to change out the front wheel bearings on my car. the shop press did the job without hesitation. Some of these other reviews say that the frame is poorly constructed and wobbly. One review even says the pressure shaft is welded at a four degree off set??? THE FRAME IS PERFECT AND SO IS THE WELDING OF THE PRESSURE SHAFT! no complaints from me. :)

I just puchased this 12 ton press today. I bought it to change out the front wheel bearings on my car. this 12 ton press worked like a charm! I am completely satisfied with the performance. I notice on a couple other reviews that people where complaining about the frame??? that it was constructed poor and wobblie??? And that the presser shaft is welded at a 4 degree angle???That's Is Incorrect, the frame is just perfect and so is the welding! this is a good buy and is sure to get the job done!

After reading all the reviews here, both good and bad I felt this item was worth a try. It doesn't feel quite strong enough to press out really aged press fits but installs bearings with ease.
Right out of the box, this unit is indeed somewhat flimsy but is easily solved by replacing the 4 long bolts at the top with 8 individual M12x1.5 x 30mm long grade 10.9 bolts, 16 flatwashers and 8 nylock nuts. Use 8 large diameter 9/16 flatwashers (about 1/16 thick) between the vertical legs and top beam to eliminate the excess space. then you can really tighten them down, but square it all first. The long bolts supplied with the press just cannot tighten enough to keep it all together. this stiffens the whole frame and helps make this press a really decent tool. some others say they welded it together but I don't weld, and bolting will allow for some adjustments over time. BUY this press and do this and you will be happy!!

Good, handy press. Kinda low, so I made some 12" riser blocks for it. Also, I bought the 12 ton air/hydraulic jack, which makes things a WHOLE lot easier, plus, I can stand off to the side while operating it, and avoid flying stuff if something goes POW!!!!

Well worth the price, maybe not for the novice. I just bought it and had it together in about 10 mins. Pressed in a ball joint in about 3 secs without any issues. I really recommend this if you do minor repairs in your home or hobbie shop.
