1/4 Horsepower Clear Water Pump with Float Switch

Used the pump for about 20 minutes and it stopped pumping. Returned it and Harbor freight was out of stock. Was charged a 20% restocking fee even though Harbor Freight did not have another pump to exchange. Manager at the Houston, North Freeway location was extremely rude when I questioned the restocking fee. Contacted Harbor Freight corporate office about the incident and they did not care and refused to return my calls and emails.

Used in French drain with strainer screen. After first week it developed Ground Fault Current Interrupter leakage, had to not use GFCI outlet. After fifth week the float got waterlogged and sank, so pump didn't run. Heard the this model is now discontinued. I had 2 yr warranty for $9.99 , when I returned it, I was charged a 20% restocking fee because I did not want the same pump and problems again. I don't think I should have been charged the restocking fee because of a failure during warranty. I replaced it with pump 68455 for $59.99 less 20% single item discount, and its two year warranty was $20. The three reviews on my new pump appear ominous.

I used this pump to pump clean water for approximately 20 continuous minutes once a month. The pump did not last 2 years with such a light use.
