I bought this at the store. The jack mounting plate was welded off-center so the pieces would not line up for assembly, not even close. I always read instructions VERY carefully. I also used to assemble equipment professionally. I exchanged the jack but the second one leaked oil everywhere and would only lift my bike up about 4 inches. Finally I returned it, went to [@] and purchased a Cr@ftsm@n Professional. I wouldn't trust my bike suspended in air by the Harbor Freight jack. Fool me three times, shame on me.

Putting the lift together took about an hour. I took my time and studied the instructions and also wanted to ensure that I used an "anti-seize compound" for lubrication on the threads and rotating joints. There were several warnings about not pumping up the jack prior to installation.

Once I got it together, the lift/jack worked fine. I was able to lift my Suzuki C50T into the air and the placement of the motorcycle on the lift pads felt stable. For the record, this is not a jack-dolly. It says do not move your equipment around with this lift. It was not intended to move a motorycle or ATV. It's only designed to lift it in the air.

With that said, I was able to lift my motorcycle and perform maintenance. The lift is durable and works really well. There was a recommendation in the owner's manual to tie down the motorcycle prior to lifting. Tie-down straps are not supplied. I would hate to drop any equipment from the lift - dangerous and expensive!

This is a great tool for lifting and moving my Harley around the garage. My garage is the typical 2 car with barely enough space to park both cars in. I won't leave my bike outside, so I had to squeeze it into a corner, which is a p.i.t.a. to maneuver around the cars.

With this jack, I pump up with the tires just off the floor and can spin the Harley around very easily into it's tight corner. I leave bike sitting on the stand, but it does leak down overnight. Not a problem though....best addition to my garage yet.

I have used the lift for about six months, and it is a good product. Just mash the release and it comes down in a controllable drop. A little scary first time!

bought this jack to use on my electra glide lifts and supports it fine ive left it jacked up over the weekend and it didnt drop at all used it several times when other bikes were on the lift no problems

Great Jack. Don't use to lift a car I did and broke the jack. It worked great for my Motorcycle.I will buy a new one ASP.

This is an exellent product.I use it to work on 400 cc dirt bikes.It lifts well and you have room to work on things.Also the tie down loops are a plus.You dont have to tie down the bike because it is very stable on its own but if you need to apply a lot of torque to a bolt or nut then you dont have to worry about the bike coming off the stand or falling over.I would definitely recommend this product to persons who work on their own bikes.

Ive had this for about 10 years and it lifts my Goldwings (1100 & 1500)as good now as it did when I bought it new.

The utility and functionality far outweighs the price of the motorcycle jack. I acquired this jack for use on my custom 2003 Big Dog Chopper. This custom has a very low ground clearance (the manual states 4.75") and this is one of the few I know of that slides up under it. I have lifted my Bike several times to the maximum height and the bike is relatively steady. I would not have any reservations about lifting the bike, but I would not roll it around on the casters without it being strapped down.

Bought this jack for my Suzuki C90 and it works great! Took a bit of getting used to with the lowering pedal but once you get the hang of it and steady the bike with one hand it's fine. I will look for the adjustment someone else mentioned on this site to help slow it down a bit.
