18 Piece Carbon Steel Hole Saw Set

Saw work good on wood plaster board plastic and other soft material. Cut three holes in wet plaster ceiling and that eat the blade. No single replacement blades are available through Harbor freight

Lots of sizes, worked good to cut holes for wine rack and then for venting and plumbing plastic rain barrels. Metal attaching 'bits' to the drill is weak but can bend it back almost with my hands to line it up again. As usual good value, have really used this set.

I bought 2 thinking it would take it but only opened one :) Wish the bigger one's was deeper but was pleased with it over all and done a great job on a fiberglass tub/shower for me.

The problem with these saws is that the teeth don't clear themselves of wood chips. The trick is to take an old toothbrush and when you feel the teeth stop cutting raise the drill and scrub the teeth with the toothbrush. The drill can still be spinning. You'll see the chunks that were clogging the teeth fall away and the bit will start cutting again. This helps keep the bit cool and they will last longer. I wish I would have discovered this 3 hole saw kits ago. I would not have dulled them so quickly.

I have always wanted something like this. Being a NON PROFESSIONAL I decided on HF. It does the job. But it takes time and I mean TIME to drill a hole in soft wood. It's Ok for occasional use. I don't think I would buy this item again.

I needed to make a precisely sized cut, and the saw I was using had a center hole that was not centered. So, the wow in the saw blade was enough that the hole it cut was in fact larger than the hole it should have cut.
