The Generator feels solid and well-constructed. It is heavy, so buy the wheel kit. After setting it up, it cranked on the second pull. It surprised me as to how quiet it is. I was expecting it to be much louder. I used a small space heater on the low setting (750 Watt) for the three hour break in period. I about 14 hours on it now and I have been using it around the farm for off sight electricity. I have also used it to weld with my small wire welder. It will be great when the power goes out. So far, it has performed as well or better than my friend's big name brand generator.

Use this generator at my jobsite and it rocks.
Always starts 1st time. Great Power. Rarely ever
blows a fuse. I would buy this generator even if
briggs stratton or a Honda was the same price. And this Predator Generator is about $150-200 cheaper!!!

I bought it about a month before Sandy hit NJ,and it worked flawlessly for the entire time (10 Days)we had no power from JCPL, powered everything I needed,including the well pump, great little generator

I got this to replace my smaller coleman generator that I use at the race track to run everything in my trailer. It runs so smooth and so much queiter. Its not as quiet as a honda but for the price you cant beat it! At 20ft its 75db and in my trailer enclosed in my generator door it is 50db. I would recomend this to anyone that needs a great quiet generator for this low of a price. But get the addition warrenty just to back it up down the road!

When Sandy hit, we lost power for 3 days. HF had many generators on the floor so I thought it would be a good idea to get one. After a day of sourcing the cords and plugs which was in high demand at that time the hook up was made and the generator fired up and all the necessary appliances: refrigerator, house oil burner, 2 tvs, router, computer, about 20 lights (mostly CFLs) -- plus 2 lights and and 800w portable heater for next door neighbor. Unless you have electric water heater or electric baseboard heater this generator should be sufficient for a typical 2000 sqft house.

Wish list for HF: include an oil filling device because the fill is hardly accessible!

Overall, this is a value buy -- highly recommended.

Bought the gen. last year for our motocross trailer.It runs a 15000btu a/c, 500wt flood light,xbox,fan,flat screen, surround sound system,overhead light,12v air compessor and don't miss a beat. you will never find a new gen at this price to come close to its power output. I really think it's underrated. All of the above listed is running at the same time. I do run run race gas in it though lol!

I have had this hooked to the whole house. It ran my gas furnice two friges all lights tvs and computers at the same time. I have 3 acers with no electric there it runs every weekend. In the winter it runs a 200 watt radio lights and two 1500 watt heaters. In the summer it has ran a 2000 watt sound board for a band along with there light rig. The motor will stall before the breakers trip.(keep load even on outlets) (handles 4000 watt easy)

Bought this generator on the day that hurricane sandy hit nj arrived 3 days later. I use it at my shore house that recieved 5 ft of water and knocked out the electric for several months. This generator is worth it's weight in gold to me while I fix my house. I highly recommend this generator Buy it when you get it at discount with the $6.99 shipping.

We are a family on a budget when it comes to the more expensive things one needs, like a generator. There was a BIG sale going on for this generator and got the one year replacment warranty. Got it home, put oil and gas in it. Followed the instructions and it fired up then stalled. Humm....?? After a few failed attempts, I found out through trial and error, that the fuel off/on valve was reversed from the sticker. Problem solved. It starts right up, no problems. If you think your having a fuel problem once you first try to start it, turn the gas valve and see if that fixes it. Yes, its "quiky" but for the money, I'll buy 3 of these for your one, "name brand." It works. What more should it do?

Got this as a replacement for my 3200/3500W Chicago Gen. with a storm predicted for the weekend, I ran the 3 break-in hours with just a sump pump circulating in a large cooler filled with water. It's definitely not as quiet as it may sound. Louder I believe than the old gen. If we get hit with the worst, I'll put it through the paces and update. the replacement plan is screwy. apparently, your hit with a restocking fee. didn't make a big stink about it since the cost was covered in the original cost of the gen and plan. Also, not sure why HF doesn't offer the correct twist-lock for these gens
