This thing is excellent. It has two 'speeds', a narrow beam and a wide array. I got two of them for my boat and use them when going aboard and leaving after dark. Its only flaw is that because of its shape there isn't always a good place to prop it (I don't use the magnet feature since there's not a lot of ferrous metal on a boat!). It gets terrific mileage from its battery-- I once forgot where I left one and when I found it, it had been on 24 hours and was still going strong. No toolbox should be without one!

I am an avid bicyclist, and particularly enjoy pedaling before Sunrise/after Sunset. Why? Because I have multiple battery-powered lights, both flashing and steady beam, mounted on my Doublevision tandem recumbent and helmet, most of them from Harbor Freight. Visibility is the single greatest factor in road safety for ALL vehicles upon our excellent highways and byways; Harbor Freight lights give me a feeling of safety that is even unmatched by designated bike lanes or a segregated bikeway! I highly recommend Harbor Freight lights to everybody who want a surefire system of lighting!

I PURCHASED ONE AT FIRST AND LIKED IT SO MUCH THAT I PURCHASED THREE MORE. I PUT 2 IN CLOSETS THAT HAD NO LIGHTING BY MOUNTING SMALL L BRACKETS SO I COULD USE THE MAGNET BASE AND REMOVE THEM EASILY. THE FLASHLIGHT MODE WORKS GREAT TO LOOK FOR THINGS STORED AT THE BACK OF THE CLOSET. I PUT THE OTHER 2 IN EACH OF MY CARS AND USED THE MAGNET BASE TO MOUNT THEM IN THE TRUNK. GREAT VALUE FOR THE PRICE!!

Works great as a general purpose area light and low power flashlight. Runs on 3 "AAA" batteries and works O.K. on 1.2 volt rechargeable batteries (NiCd and NiMH)although not as bright due to unregulated current limiter circuit. Splash resistant for rain and water areas, NOT submersible! Good alternative to expensive camp lights for outdoors, and the magnet and hook are a big help in positioning light without holding in your hand. The only bad things I can say about this light is the battery compartment is held closed with 3 screws, which are tiny and easily lost, and the push button switch means to go from 3 led's on the end to 24 on the side, you have to push the button 3 times. Not a deal breaker, but a bit inconvenient. buy 4 of these instead of one expensive camp light and save the difference for more steak! (Or beer!)

Had a leak in my roof, the light in the attic was not enough. I hooked the light on my shirt collar it worked perfect. I wanted to take a video of the damaged are. My video camera(Flip video camera) doesn't have a light so I used the Portable /Worklight it came out perfect.
Great item.

I have a few of these lights and they are great! We keep a couple of them stuck to the refrigerator in case we need a quick flashlight and especially in case of power outages. Stuck to the refrigerator they are always available and always handy. We have even used them as nightlights when we have had houseguests. They easily lasted all night. Only after prolonged usages have we had to replace the batteries (yep, they are replacable) and then they were as good as new. I have even given them as gifts because I thought they were so good. For the price, I can not think of a better light- for that matter, I can't think of a handier light at any price.

i use lithium batteries in the ones in my vehicles as they do much better in cold winter temps.
