Constructed of steel with a rustproof enamel finish, this metal brake and stand are extra durable and ready to handle a variety of metal bending jobs. I have owned this for about 4 years. I use it to bend 2' wide 14 guage steel to make horse feeders. i had to weld a 1x1 square tubing under the break to strenghthen it for bending the 14 guage. it worked fine for the first two years, then the bolt / piviot pins on the side broke out of the frame. i rewelded them and it has been working since. i realize it is not rated for 14 guage, but with a little beefing up, it works great.

Not a bad bender for simple bends. I have tried 16g sheet metal 36" wide which is too much for this bender. It will bend 12g & 16g, but in not in wide lengths. This is the same bender at TSC & NT and other tool companies, with coupon Harbor Freight was cheaper. I probably would have given it a higher rating, but I purchased this bend for 16g sheet metal 36" wide. I will try 18g and see if it works better. I'm sure it can be modified to bend thicker metals. It needs longer handles for thicker sheet metal. I would also recommend anchoring it for wide heavy material. Not a bad bender for the home shop, but it will struggle with wide 12g and 16g sheet metal.

I bought it to bend wire for traps ,I build coon traps ,opossum traps , coyote traps, it really does a good job on different size wire and I bend sheet metal for the tops.

Great bender for the price, all hardware was there holes lined up nice for the stand, only thing i dont like is the paint chips off really easy but thats not really problem.

I used this to bend 24" wide x .120 thick 3003 aluminum tread plate for a trailer for the local fire department. this did a great job. this is not a large brake you would find in a fabrication shop but with a little patience and common sense this is a great addition to your shop. I have to admit i was a little skeptical when I purchased the brake with this project inmind but it did a great job and is very well made. I had not problems with assembly.

Great Little Brake, I have been using this tool for some time now (bending steel up to 16 Ga ) works like it should.. And the price is right..least expensive model on the market.. the only knock I have is the bolts to assemble the stand were not included!!
