I have this unit and needless to say, it worked very good for all my car customizing needs. The shear cuts good on 18 to 22 ga. sheet steel. The longer lenghths are a little more work to fully cut, but short pieces (half the lenghth of the bed) are no problem. I have completely customized a 57 Studebaker Hawk with this unit. Rolled pans, sunken licence plate mounts, rolled this and folded that stuff.A great unit for the money.

It will cut, roll, bend 40" 20ga steel pieces without a problem. However, it will not cut 18ga steel at full 40" capacity. The roll and bending functions work well with 18ga though.

It's a good tool for the home fabricator with a limited budget and who is short on space.

It can handle 40" of stock, and it can handle 18 gauge metal, but not at the same time. It can only do about 18" of 18 gauge, and then it's a real struggle. But it's great for lighter stuff, and smaller peices.
