I cut all sorts of tough to cut items - I even take it out to the farm to chop small limbs off trees to clear brush and it runs off my duracell jump start battery just fine! anytime I am having an issue cutting anything I will switch to THIS saw the dual direction blades means it never snags or grabs much safer - competitors don't carry anything like it - I checked!

This tool doesn't bind or kick back even on combination metals and woods. Great for scrapping Fridges and old dead appliances. I use old bed frames to weld stands and tables and this tool cuts those better than my cutoff saw. Now I can work on some wrought iron projects I have planned.

I have used this for sheets of plywood (make sure to add blade width when measuring), and I have used it for sheet metal, and cutting metal electric pipe. I have not had any problems with mine thus far. It is a little awkward at first for handling and i thought the push button to start the saw was broke at first until i figured it out (but i'm the dummy b/c it was clearly stated in the directions on how to use the start button). what can I say i'm a guy! It is more powerful than i expected and it cuts great.

I bought and went to use on last week. The saw has very little kick back when cutting metals and pipe. Cutting the small metals so easy. The only drawback was the on/off switch can't locked, it makes my thumb a little tired.

Before using your saw, Run the Motor! Electric motors need breaking in before use! Putting a load on a tool before breaking in the motor is damaging to the saw! It's Easy!
Turn on and run for 30 seconds then let cool for 5 minutes, then run for 1 minute, then cool, repeat several times and you should be good. Do this to all your new tools. Sure, you may get a bad one, if so, you will know instantly. With HF's excellent return policy, it should be no problem. Putting stress on a brand new motor damages the brushes and motor itself. First Impression: tricky to hold but not any harder than using a rotozip type tools. I think with a little practice, this could be a useful tool. Keep the blade lubed when cutting anything other than wood or plastic! For those of you finding the trigger difficult, the easy way is to put your thumb on the very end of the trigger(towards the cord), press down then slide forward. You can then use either thumb to hold the trigger. Hope this helps!
