-The Sander is great! but hard to find Hook and Loop sandpaper in very fine grit,, and the hose for dust collection just gets in the way, better to buy a face mask of some sort in my own opinion... but i like the speed control valve and the hook and loop feature, kinda like a velcro so it keeps sanding paper on the tool..! i would recommend it for auto body for sure!

My favorite sander for flat surface wood work projects. The hook and loop feature makes disc changes super easy. I squirt a little WD 40 in the air intake and the sander just keeps going and going. Home crafts man cant beat it for the price.

I can honestly say that so far it has performed every bit as good as the IR sander I use at the body shop. It is quiet, and because it causes very vibration you can run it for hours at a time. Attached to a shop vac, it creates very little dust which makes it great for drywall touchups. The only *minor* drawback is that it seems to pull about 10 to 11cfm instead of the 7 it is rated. However it's not really a problem for those of us with decent air compressors. Overall I give it a 10/10 because of how it performs, how affordable it is, and the 1 year warranty is great too.

I've owned this for well over a yr and it still stands strong. when i bought this, i was working in a shop were we only worked on tractors and tractor trailers. It takes a lot of sanding to prep up a tractor trailer for paint. now i work in a regular body shop were i deal w/ having my work to be more fine detailed. still works awesome! just remember to keep it oiled and let the sander do the work.

Man do I love this sander...a few drops of oil...break it in nice and easy... after a few hours of sanding..she rocks and rolls...she does all the work.I use two fingers control...no fatigue..jentle press...my finished product is fantastic... change that paper...check it..clean it.. im hooking it up to my shop vac now...no dust ;)

Bought this with the straight line sander.
I don't use the dust collection, so I can't say how it is.
However, the operation overall is great. No problems. Light and very comfortable to use.

It's an awesome sander for top coats and cutting through clear and base coats of my project car. I hear it's good for body fillers and will be my next use for this sander. I was hoping it would sand to bare metal but it would take a while to do it...so I just bought a DA sander and will complete stripping paint/primer off with the DA. Still very satisfied and especially when on sale is hard to beat this deal.

I bought this and tried it out on a van bodywork project I'm working on. It cut my time in approx 1/4 compared to my little electric orbital sander. Also in response to the two comments below, the sander doesn't move at all unless I push the button, and my local harbor freight does in fact sell the 6" hook-and-loop sandpaper with the holes for the dust collection.

I never know what to expect when purchasing tools/supplies from anywhere. I had a coupon to get this sander and had to try it out. all I can say is awesome.





It usually sits in my car so I have access to it at work, or at home. If it were a car its would be topping 60-70,000 miles and it is still going. a very good tool at a very reasonable price.
