6" Magnetic Hex Bit Extension

I assemble large amounts of lawn furniture and barbecues at a home improvement store and do handyman work. Bought this extension to use with a cordless impact screwdriver. The magnet in the tip is not nearly strong enough to hold the philips bits from falling out, and there is not enough magnetic power to allow the tips to hold a screw on the tip to start installing screws single-handed. Much of the time I tightened screws and was constantly picking up the philips bit off the floor because it would fall out of the end of this extension.

During the 2 weeks I used it the extension did hold up to the high torque of the impact screwdriver without twisting after driving probably hundreds of screws.

I have other extensions with magnetic tip holders, made by some well known electric tool manufacturers and those magnetic holders are much stronger so the tips don't fall out and they hold the screws properly to get them started.

I strongly suggest HF redesign this with a much, much stronger magnet, it would then be a worthwhile purchase even if it cost some more. I returned mine for a refund since it was unusable for the intended purpose.
