FOR SALE 1967 PONTIAC 400 FIREBIRD
AVAILABLE FOR PURCHASE

This nearly original 1967 Pontiac 400 Firebird just completed a frame-off, professional custom restoration. This restoration project was undertaken as a promotional project to develop videos of how Harbor Freight Tools could be used in all phases of a restoration project. Over $50,000 was invested in this restoration project. Now Harbor Freight is making this classic muscle car available for purchase.

The engine and transmission were removed as one unit and disassembled. The component parts were taken over to Valley Head Service where the engine was bored 0.030-inch. After the machining was complete, Badger replacement pistons were installed along with a Comp Cams Ram Air IV hydraulic cam and valve train gear and assembled with ARP bolts and a Milodon oil pan and pump. The original GM1 intake was cleaned and replaced then topped with a Jet Performance Products-reworked Quadrajet carburetor. Finally, Doug’s headers were installed along with a Flowmaster stainless steel exhaust system and a Pertornix Electronic Ignition conversion.

After sand blasting the suspension parts free of paint and debris, they were painted in the original chassis black. The A-Arms where outfitted with Performance Suspension technology bushing to remove flex and deliver better final handling along with KYB shock absorbers. A CPP disc brake kit was installed which incorporated the GM single piston calipers along with a specially calibrated power booster and new steel lines from Classic Tube. Steering was upgraded with an Ididit tilt steering column and a Borgeson quick ratio steering gear. The new engine and front lighting wiring harnesses are from M & H Wiring.

After carefully blocking the body and countless hours sanding the door jambs, trunk rails and firewall, we applied the Delfleet custom mixed red paint and Autoclear 2K clear coat. The paint was allowed to dry for two days and then sanded with 1500 grit sandpaper and buffed to make the surface smooth. All of the unusable interior parts were replaced using reproduction parts from National Parts Depot including the felt weather stripping and OEM carpeting. New rubber parts from Metro Molded Parts replaced the deteriorated rubber parts. The interior seat covers are from Legendary Auto Interiors and the 240 watt stereo is from Custom Auto Sound. We mounted up a set of Vintage Wheel Works 17 x 8 five spoke wheels and Falken tires.
