We use these around the shop all the time when we need a quick reading or to see if something works. In fact, a free cooupon of this meter is what got us introduced to Harbor Freight years ago. We have one at each desk and I personally have several. With the low price, these are great to have in the home, garage, and car toolboxes. HINT: If the readings become off, open it up and put a new battery in it. (It used to have a battery door, but now you have to unscrew and open.)

This meter along with its other "brothers" is quite a value. It is spot-on accurate despite its low cost. Very highly recommended for trouble shooting automotive electrical problems. Another use is with vintage audio equipment repair. This meter is much more accurate than my vintage VTVM and is quite appropriate for the repair of vacuum tube amplifiers.

I have one of these meters in every vehicle and several throughout the home. I buy them and give them as gifts to my friends so that I know there is a meter at their home when I am asked to help them with any type of electrical or electronic repair.

This item is very handy and the price is great. I use it to test all my batteries including the 12 volt battery in my car. Remember, a good 12 volt car battery will read 12+ volts with the engine off, up to 13 or 14 volts when the engine is running.

I use this to check batteries all of the time. I cannot imagine a home without one, and at the rice, how can you go wrong. This is probably not the meter for a guy who needs perfection in all functions, but for battery checking, and the like, what a deal!

For the price you can't beat this meter. I have three and use them all the time around my small auto shop. Hightly recommended.

I have had several of these meters, and not found anything negative about them. the instructions could be a little more clear on measuring current - but it is so much more, for the money, than I could have expected. ... use it nearly every day in my model airplane hobby.
