Great Grinder Review by Steve K

I bought one of these units years ago to grind concrete. It performed beyond my expectations. Many times it was covered, inside and out, with very fine and very abrasive concrete dust. After three years of performing yeoman service, the first one finally burnt up (an undersized 100 ft extention cord had a lot to due with its destruction). I liked the performance so well, I immediately went down to HF and bought another identical unit - plus, I invested in a 100 foot 12 gauge extention cable. The new extention cord made all the difference in keeping the unit cool. I still use this guy to grind concrete, plus I also grind welds with it. The latest unit is still running strong, although the brushes are wearing down due to the abrasive dust (it came with a spare set). If and when this guy gives up the ghost, I will not hesitate to trek back down to HF and pick up another (hopefully on sale, or I will use one of my 20% off coupons).

I bought this unit as a disposable item - however, I like it so much, I find myself taking good care of it.

lasted 20 minutes went out Review by Disapointed

I bought mine new on sale off the Harbor freight internet catalog. I tried it to see if it run and it did. It seemed like a good well designed grinder I put it up for later. When I needed to use it a year latter I got about 20 minutes use when the motor spit out a little smoke and that was it. The motor was not even hot on the outside and it gave no warning of going out. Since I have had it over a year (no warranty)I am stuck with a bad experience and out 50.00 I didn't even get to finish the job I had started. Maybe I just got a bad one but I am disappointed with mine.

Great hobby grinder Review by Glen

Costs a LOT less than the name brand units and has plenty of power. I used mine to completely grind down all of the rust and old paint from a 5 x 8 trailer I recently purchased. It handled the job and was able to grind down all of the previous owners really bad welds to nice even metal.

as a not on the power, I was able to really lean my body weight into this grinder and only slow it down minimally. This is definitely a good buy.

Cheap but could last longer Review by Loic

Bought it probably two years ago. I probably used it three or four time. I am a casual user and made some protection items for my truck. It broke on me when smoke coming out of the motor. Worked great while it lasted but I feel it could have lasted a tad more...

A top performer. Review by Brian

Works like the big names at less than half the price. Another outstanding HFT value. Far more power than the 4" model handles the big jobs with ease.

Good Grinder for the money. Review by David

Not as heavey as the name brand units, I have not used it yet, I just got it today, but i placed a grinding wheel on it and it seems to run nice and smooth just like the name brand ones do. I bought this just for sharping large mower blades. The name brand units like this were $150.00, this one was $39.00, for what I what this for I am sure it wil last me for years, even came with a extra set of brushes for the motor. All in all I think this one will do the job just fine for me at a lot less cost. Thank You Harbor Freight.
