Bought this one to replace the one I purchased over 10 years ago. I use them to clean aluminum a/c fittings before and after welding. The brass does not tear in to the aluminum like steel brushes do.

This is a full bodied brush. I am using this on a industrial grinder at 1800 RPM. So far it is performing very good.

bought one at the store returned once i opened it in the car opened both packages on shelf none have inserts only fits 1"

The wheel is a 1-1/4" arbor, but has various plastic adaptors for 1",7/8",3/4",5/8", and 1/2". The adaptors are supposed to sit snug in the hole, but they don't. They just spin making this wheel worthless.

Plus it's a little too wide for the housing on the Harbor Freight 8" grinder.

Note that this is not a brass wire wheel. It is a steel wire wheel coated with brass. hence the brass quickly wears off and you have a standard wire wheel which is much more agressive than a brass wire wheel.

I purchased the wire wheel and the 8" grinder.the wheeel does NOT work in it at all,It is too bulky for the housing and won;t spin.

Three weeks ago, the wheel,#93467,was purchased when I purchased an 8" grinder as recommended by a salesman. The grinder has been used several times with no problems. When the wire wheel was installed, it was so tight in the housing that the grinder would not run. I returned the wheel to the store where I purchased it and was told they would not exchange it even though it was "satisfaction guarenteed".

Just looking at the wheel it appears to be well constructed and has a very good price. The wheel does work and doesnt fly apart, but it will shake the entire bench grinder its on so bad your afraid its going to come apart. The bench grinder its on spins it well below the max RPM's, I would hate to see what it would do at the max. If you were going to use it for light duty applications and not for extended periods of time it may be ok but I would not suggest it for ever day use.
