I figured this tool would be too weak for stone, but decided to give it a try because of the price. So far it cuts through stone pretty good. I've never used other power tools on stone but this sure beats the hand filing I've been trying. I haven't had any trouble with it stopping but I've used light pressure. I've already carved a face into a small red granite stone.

I'm doubtful on how long this will last with stone but either way seems like a great value for the price and I can always use the diamond bits, etc for better models. All I can guess is the people who are having it stop on them are using too much pressure.

this little rotary works good for being small and cheap. the drill bits dont really drill good but all i did was sharpen them and it was easy to drill wood
i let the drill do the work

i used the cutting disc to cut a 1/4 bolt it was slow but it did cut. if it had more power it would have cut much faster. but then again i let the disc do the work and i didnt forced it

the bits are good for sharpening and grinding simple stuff. i also use it to clean my files and it works great

I have to be honest, didn't buy this for the tool, I got it for the bits. At other stores just the bits cost twice what this whole kit does, and with this I get a spare tool just in case something happens to my good one.

I use this for Car Modeling. It serves my purpose. It is powerful, you just have to take your time and not lean into it. It is the best tool I have bought in a long time, and I have many. I was an auto mechanic for years. I would buy it again.

Anyone who doesnt think that this tool is an insanely good deal is crazy. If this were $50, I would be annoyed with the purchase. This is [$] people!! (the review format will not let you use the word "Dolar" as it think its profanity lol - ergo the misspelling) you want more power? go get a dremel and spend all kinds of money. If you are like most people, you only need it for one project or the occasional project. An avid DIY guy should buy a Dremel. But this thing can do everything a Dremel can do IF you have the patience. It is 12v - a Dremel is 120v. is it surprising that this tool has much less power? Duh.... I used this to create a prototype for an invention using metal parts. I had to cut some very tough metal with the cutting wheel. was it slow? yes - prolly took 2-3 minutes and a Dremel might have taken 30 seconds. did it do the exact same thing? yes! I also had to use it to create a divot in rounded metal so I could drill through the metal. also used it to smooth the burs that were created from said drilling and cutting. I did absolutely everything I needed to do with it for [$]. If you have a lot of work to do on a consistent basis that requires this type of tool then upgrade. Otherwise, buy this. This tool deserves no less than a 5 star rating. Don't be a knothead and compare it to a tool that is exponentially more powerful. Thats like complaining that a Nissan Sentra isnt as powerful as a Ferrari. Silly.

I have heard a number of people rave about using a Dremel on their dogs nails but there was no ways I was spending that much on the mutt. Our dog gets violent when you try to trim her nails so for $11 I thought I'd give this a shot. She didn't flinch and I was done in 5 minutes.

I found the tool to lack power when it came to torque so I can see that being an issue for more serious users but this tool definitely out performs its price.

I went looking for these types of tools at the Nail Supply stores and they were selling it for a lot more for the same type of tools. I can't believe I found these tools to work with Acrylic Nails for a fraction of the price! I am getting me a second set for my daughter today!

All the people complaining about this tool had waaaaay too high of an expectation for it. If you need that much power in a small hand grip get a flex shaft.

I originally bought this because I was sick of nail grinders from the pet store breaking after one use and wasting batteries. This is compact, quiet, and does the job well.

I'm more then pleased with it and am going to use it around my shop as well for softer materials like horn, bone, tagua, etc.

I have two other rotary tools, both of which I use for bigger, heavier jobs. This small one is perfect for the finishing work, such as sanding, engraving, shaping.

I bought this to sand down my coping cuts on a baseboard installation, thought it would go faster than filing by hand. I was right, did the job perfectlty. I was able get in the tight spots with ease. I would definitely recommend this and for the price, buy a few as gifts for small projects.
