I purchased this for my son who is graduating automotive school and he loves it. It is a great value and it is made very well. It holds allot.Draws slide so easy and I was pleasantly surprised to see the draws had the mats already in them. Very happy.

Great box for the price. And for a DIY'er like me, with a small tool budget, this is what I needed.

For work space, I built a wood bench above the toolbox, and haven't had an issue yet. I am actually thinking of buying a second one, to hold some of my other tools.

The only thing I would recommend, buy an extra set of rotating casters. This box comes with two stationary and two rotating.

You'll pay an arm and a leg for similar boxes from "other" companies and those boxes are truly made very well. However, I'm telling you, there is nothing wrong with the box HBF just delivered to me! I've paid 2000 + for similar tool boxes and quality wasn't too much better. I own a similar S----On and a Kennedy which I dearly love but, I have to say, I can find very little fault with my new box. For the home DIY'er or maybe even a pro, you can't go wrong with this one. If I had to say something bad about it, I would say that the main support brace which spans the top of the box (right where the key lock is) could be reinforced or stiffened a bit more…feels kinda flimsy in that area. Other than that, I think it's a great deal! I highly recommend this one to my friends!

after reading all the comments, I choose to drive over the state line into orange county new York from jersey to purchase rather chance shipping damage. a very good move for any one to do, you still have to pay the sales tax for your state and the gas you use will be less then shipping from the company hf uses that won't drive into areas other company's do go into with way bigger/longer rigs.

another plus is this store has a wonderful very helpful group of workers, they go out of their way to help out

some of the comments about the wheel mounting bolts were dead on, all of them were loose, almost falling out, one was cross threaded, all were low grade hardness for the usage. metric hardness of 4.8 simply fails to cut it. when I was tightening them, the heads they rounded off, making replacing all 16 a most do.

another most do before usage is grease the slides, they ship bone dry and slide like they should when packed and coated with a good white grease.

I mounted a S-ON branded tool truck side box on it, I was amazed the chest was thicker walled then the costly tool truck branded one.

some other posts about the tool truck sales men hating these boxes are dead on, mine also hates what he see's . I mean a 13 draw box from them is close to 7or 8 times more in the price. even less then 1/2 of another store brand which isn't built any better.

I'm going back today for the matching 7 draw side then selling my old S ON roller, heck I'll be 66 this year, after the boxes come home this one last they will not move anyway.

Used everyday. Just as Nice as a box costing 500 to 600 more.. The S*ap on guy hates it which makes me like it even more!!!!

I am a now retired big rig driver and auto, marine mechanic and needed a bigger box with more draw space to store my now extra tools, so it is used daily .

I'm glad I purchased from the Middletown NY store, and not online and shipped. after seeing the remarks about shipping and having had problems my self with the HF shipper before where the driver wouldn't come up my street,he had a city rig single screw truck with a 28 foot city single axle trailer, just a half hour after another driver had come in with a long nose double sleeper pulling a 53 foot trailer, heck I had moved myself in here with a double bunk long nose and a 48 foot trailer and got in and out, that said it's well worth the drive to a near by store.to get a perfect box.

the Middletown NY store people and manager are great and very help full, seeing I had handicapped plates on my truck, the manager and a helper loaded it in for me, guys it is a tight fit into a toyo taco's bed. 100 plus gravy points for this store

also glad I had read every comment about the box. the wheels as a few noted were very loosely bolted on and one was striped, but the internal threads in the box rails cleaned right up. the bolts while having a high strength rating of 8.8 metric were of a very poor quality, rounding off with a 6 point socket , again lucky I had worked on metric fitted motors and had 16 top quality 10mm thread bolts,lock washers and flats,

side box wise my old SP-N matched right up front to back perfect, I did need to spread the lip a small amount proving this cab is built of stronger metal, I think the cab it self is built as good as my 20 year old s n ,color matches, finish matches.

take time before you load the draws, as with any new box the slides need to be greased first so the slide with ease.

I will be going back for the 7 draw side box HF has to finish off my needs.

now if HF would just open a nj store closer to the very northwest corner of nj

I have one of these boxes at work and one at home.They hold up very well. Beware the size though my 41 inch top box just fits. And if you look at the top box HF sells for it its only 41 1/2. The 2 inch handle shouldn't count in add size.

Great tool box, the drawers are smooth and tight.
Some commented on only being 42" but my tape shows 44" including the handle.

This is a great box for the price. I don't have to assemble anything. the only bad thing is the tool box mat that sits on top of the tool box it seems to catch every little thing, so trying to keep it clean and looking nice has be difficult. But pother the that it is a great tool box! It's also a great starter tool box for someone that is going into the industrial world. I'm a diesel mechanic so it was well worth the money.
