I must have purchased a perfect one. I have a Viair compressor Model 300p cost of 150.00 which is also 12 volt and highly tauted as the best. Well I can say 2 years of my Harbour Freight Compressor,and still perfect. It is far superior at less than half the price of Viair. This product is way beyond expectations. Highly Recommended

Bought this pump for airing up after a trail run. It seems to be the same as other high end pumps but cheaper. I used it once so far and all seems to be ok. Directions say to screw on valve to steam after turing on pump. Easier way is to screw on valve turn on pump then connect hose to coupler. This is still within there guidlines and will not cause any problems. So far very happy with pump.

I fill up my 33x12.5 15 tires from 11psi to 34psi in less than five min. Ive used this pump at least twice a month for the last year. I soldered in new power wires and cut the air hose to add normal air tool fittings. (the ones it came with only allow you to use the supplied air hose): In hot weather it overheats and takes a little break before itll fill the last tire all the way. Add a 5gal air tank and I fill my buddies tires as well. not bad for such a low priced air compressor.

Been using the hell outta this little guy on the trails, airing my 33's back up. Its been holding together alot better than most of the reviewers here. The hose gets very hot, but thats to be expected. The pump gets moderately hot.

I think I must have gotten a good one after reading these reviews because I love mine. Airs up my 33's in about 3 minutes.

I bought it in 2009 for a good price when the 20% off coupons were great. I use the compressor about once a month to fill up my tires. Has never failed however I burned the fuse a few times; you're supposed to turn it on first then connect to the tire. It takes about 3 minutes to fill up an SUV tire from flat.

I use this for off roading in my jeep with 37" tires from 8-28lbs. It works, but it's slow and overheats on the 4th tire and I have to wait till it comes back on. If I go with 10 other guys I'm the last one aired up. It works but its slow. Not meant for such big tires but I thought about getting two to run at the same time. Still cheaper than other brands. I think it's good for the value.

I wanted to be able to add more air hose or put on a different hose to reach trailer tires. I can't do that because the fittings are not the standard NPT used in America. Beware that you are stuck with the length of cheap hose that comes with this compressor and cannot change it or connect to it to extend it with another air hose.

Worked surprisingly well while it worked. It would get VERY hot though and became a burn risk. It barely works now after about ten uses.

This is a very cheaply made compressor designed to look like one of the more popular 12v compressors. The heatsinks on the head of this compressor are part of a peice of chromed plastic covering (and insulating) a much smaller head. There is no switching relay - 30 amps is passing through a cheap rocker switch. The heatsink on the cylinder wall is so loose that there can't be any heat transfer. I don't expect this thing to last very long.
