Vertical Air Polisher/Sander

Comments about Central Pneumatic Vertical Air Polisher/Sander:

I bought this "Polisher/Sander" to polish/cut glass and lightly sand metal surfaces.

As a professional restorer, I often run across applications where I need a hand-held, low RPM buffer/polisher/sander. I bought this item from HF and it has consistently fit the bill.

Note, at 2300 RPM this is more a "Polisher/Buffer" then a "Polisher/Sander" as advertised. If you are going to be sanding a car or wood, a DA with 10,000+ RPM is a better deal. But for polishing and buffing large areas, you can't beat this tool. The dual handles and good tracking make it an extremely accurate tool.

While the weight fells a bit heavy when you first pick it up, I've notice lower fatigue when buffing for hours on end on large areas compared to the variable speed electric buffer HF sells.

As a side not, I've even put on a diamond saw blade (using a water drip hose as lubrication) and used this tool to cut plate glass with surprisingly accurate levels speed and cleanliness of cut.

The Hook-it pad if of good quality and after changing sanding disks and pads hundred of times, it's still in good shape.

In terms of reliability, I never had a problem with this tool, but then I lubricate it according to manufactures specs and use a DA when sanding a car as one should.

So, in short, I would recommend this tool to any one looking for a pneumatic buffer/polisher that is extremely versatile and reliable.

Made gear noise from the beginning and consumed lots of air.

I used it to strip my classic car. It didn't last through the whole project. Look nice but low quality.
