Watch the video, takes off slag quickly. I bought mine to remove paint from part of an old tractor since I don't have a sandblaster. It worked really great! They sell two sizes, I recommend the bigger of the two.

We bought this on 'super sale' without knowing what we'd use it for and didn't realize what a versatile tool it is.

We clean up slag and flux from welding operations, remove paint and rust from areas that are inaccessible with a rotary tool, remove mortar from used bricks and clean lime scale off plumbing fixtures... we find new uses for this tool all the time.

It is noisy and uses a lot of compressed air to operate but it's a real time saver on many jobs.

I bought this today to save time and keep dust down. It did that surprisingly well. I am a welder and this current job is cleaning much rust buildup on 96 sets of C channel stair stringers. It works well if your compressor is up to par. My two only issues were that my oiled 20 gallon porter cable compressor would just run and run until finally the motor got too hot. So I was back at grinding. That is no fault of the tool. My second issue isn't really a fault just simply a lack, which is no chisel attachment. Other brands have them, so I had to switch to my air hammer. Just one more tool to lug around. Other brands also have a pistol grip that would be nice too, but using this variation is simple and worth the buy.

Used it on my boat docks for awhile and put it away for a couple years. Took it out for some more work and it doesn't work. Oiled it all the time.
