I cannot find anywhere that sells a 12V 35ah AGM battery for anywhere near the price of this one, when using the HF 20% off. The UB12350 may have a lesser price at some internet retailers, but they all have very high shipping.

I have one of these batteries connected to the 45 watt panel kit and a 750 watt inverter. I use the two 12 volt lamps that came with the panel kit, but I replaced the sockets with switchable sockets. The system lights my work shed adequately, and I have left the lights on for three days as a test. I also use light power tools through the inverter - skill saw etc. - and recharge power tool batteries as well. No problems.

Like the porevious reviewer, I also found that one terminal was crushed. My nearest HFT store is more than 100 miles away but I managed to straighten the terminal without damaging it or the battery case, but when I buy more batteries, and I will, I will open the packages for inspection before I leave the store!

I am using the battery for a solar panel project. The problem that I had was the one battery terminal was crushed but I did not discover it until I got home. Had to drive back to the store in Clifton NJ for a replacement. I checked the replacement "before I left the store" again a broken terminal. Had to go thru a couple more boxes to find a battery that did not have a crushed terminal. Now I have to see how well the battery works in my project.

This battery is absolutely identical to the UB12350 mentioned in other reviews, just a different sticker slapped on there. However for me, this isn't that much of a bargain. The UB12350 can be found online for $65 shipped, while this battery WHEN ON SALE AND WITH THE 20% OFF action works out to be $9 cheaper before tax. Slap the man's money on, and at least for me I'm just saving $3.

Still though, it's $3 less, and the battery can (usually) be had imediately. The one I ordered from a large internet company named after a South American river took 10 days to show up.

As Ed mentioned, bring your pocketknife, and check 'em before you buy. Based on my experience, about a third of the batteries in stores will have damage from mishandling in shipping/stocking.

Given we excpect to find equivalent products at Harbor Freight at a fraction of the price of the name brands, I find it unpleasant this battery, on sale, with 20% off is still priced higher than several on the market. Perhaps they are testing interest at this time.
