i purchased this panel thinking it would not be enough...I was wrong it performs better than the 45 watt panel i had..on my sailboat it keeps my batteries topped and have run 12 volt appliances direct to it without a battery on overcast days...a very good price on this panel.....

This is a very nice panel. I have a little 5W panel I paid the same for this one. This is perfect for the entry level user. Its use of Amorphic cells is it strongest point. Poly and Mono Crystaline require direct sunlight where as this panel can charge in low light conditions. This product is superb for 12V charging systems. The primary purpose of this product is to charge 12v batteries and must have a charge controller. I did see that some good modifications were given as to wiring and the diode, but if your not sure of what your doing, leave it alone, it will work fine,. Enjoy, this was my Christmas present... Love it.

I used one of these to charge a 12v battery which runs a pump for my small hydroponics setup. After several months of use it is still performing well and the system continues to run well. If there is no full sun for a few days my battery runs down and the pump stops, but generally the plants don't mind because if there is no full sun they can deal with very little moisture. The panel did exactly what I want. I'm not sure that I would string together 10 of these and try to power something substantial, but for simple hobby projects like this, it is exactly what I was looking for.

i attached one 15w panel to my boat and it keeps my bank of two 12v batteries topped off. charge allday.fish allnite. for the money it does what it should

This was my first solar panel, it does exactly what it says it will do, I'm using it to power a 12x12 shed, it keeps my battery fully charged, and if I get any more solar panels I will get more of the 15 watt ones.

Seems to out perform the panels from the 45W kit even if are the same panels. I got a kit and the 45watts did not change my current system much as this 1 panels did. I run inside lights with this and 2 13w panels I got 2 years ago from another source. Problem is that the stores don't carry enough of these as the store I shop at is usually out of them.

I purchased several of these panels in the form of the 45 watt kits; I have ten kits. I am happy with the operation of the panels and they will put out what they say they do. I operated my RV entirely on these sets with only three type 31 automotive batteries and a 2 KW inverter. I have now installed them on the roof of my wood shop and will power the shop with clean solar power. I plan on waiting for the sale price and then adding 5 or 6 more kits and four more batteries. The reason is that I will supplement power to the house during peak hours of consumption. Edison electric rates are just plain robbery. Amphorous panel systems are not the most efficient but for the price they can't be beat.

Im learning solar as i go. I put one of these out in my chicken coop and it works great. Im going to upgrade though so i can run more watts.

The solar panel is neatly packaged and takes up very little storage room in an RV. Hook up to the battery is simple with the aligator clips. They are affordable for routine charging of batteries while camping. They provide current to charge the battery with simple daylight even when they are located in the shadows or on overcast days. Direct sunlight was not required to charge my batteries. I have 2 of these chargers to charge the batteries on my trailer. We stayed at full power for several days with no worries. A standard lead longer than 10' would be nicer but the distance is sufficient.
