Seems most of the bad reviews are due to the problems associated with updating the device, which I don't really think are fair since the product works perfectly without being updated. I used this scanner on two of my vehicles and it saved me a lot of money. It worked flawlessly, allowed me to view and record live data, test each sensor, and much more.

Don't throw away money by replacing perfectly good parts. Simply use this tool and the internet to test each sensor and you will usually find the source of your problem without wasting money. I hate nothing more than throwing my money away by throwing parts at a problem.

This cheap little scanner has paid for itself many times over. You can't beat the price and the amount of information you can get for it. Go ahead and buy something more expensive for 5 times the price, and you will still mainly the same info.

First, like the book says, DO NOT operate this device while driving. It's very tempting, but not a good idea. Let someone else drive while you have all the fun.

This tool was fast, easy and intuitive to use. I used it to troubleshoot a P0400 EVAP code on a 2001 Buick Regal LS. The problem turned out to be a weak gas cap that was not holding pressure. $10 for the gas cap, 5 seconds to replace it and back to other things! Awesome!

In addition, it will do on-the-fly graphing for certain engine parameters which can help with those tough intermittent problems. Also saves test results to be analyzed on the PC later. It has multiple memory locations on-board, allowing you to save results for later analysis. The unit allows for triggering on either a code set (any code)or manually, as when a defect is noted in drivability.

YES, this unit works with Microsoft Vista operating system.

Works great. I wish it ran without vehicle power, but oh well. Works fine on all my Hond's so I don't know where the foreign vehicle comments are coming from.

Worth what you pay! Does everything a back yard or "Tim the tool man Taylor" follower needs. Don't let the disc with the upgrades fool you. Don't even bother with it. Works great as is. Plug and go! I recommend the warranty on a product like this just in case.

I have been a certified master tech for almost 35 years. I sold my business and most of my tools with it. Family and friends always call with car problems and I didn't have a scanner to diagnose with. This scanner works great for someone that knows a little about such things. Even has live data and some graphing capabilities. Highly recommend.

I recently purchased this product and was a bit skeptical at first, but after using it, let me just say it has paid for itself 3 times over already. On three different vehicles it diagnosed and told exactly what the problem was. All 3 vehicles are fixed and running fine. Would reccomend it to anyone who is tired of having to always run to their mechanic and shell out rediculous prices to have it scanned. There is no updates as the person told me at harbor freight on their website, maybe they should offer these updates to thier customers to help keep the product up to date with the changing vehicles.
