I suppose I can't tell if the absolute pressure measurements are correct or not, but it really doesn't matter. This device will tell you if cylinder compression is too low, and how compression varies across cylinders. This thing more than paid for itself on its first use when it helped me diagnose a no-start. Absolutely worth [$].

Well being an ase mechanic i may know 1 or 2 things about engine compression. This tool aint bad and a very good value. I use this tool every day at my shop. (or at least when i get a no start problem) The only down side of this product is i had to replace all of the o-rings and spray the new ones with wd-40 because i had a small leak as well. other than that no problems. just had a toyota camery no start and used this across all four it read a consistant 120-130 no problem. Not your top (and USA quality) product you get from the tool trucks but it will keep up with them.

I have used this unit twice. The first time I used mine it was accurate and assisted me in a low compression evaluation of a 6:1 two stroke engine.. reading a clear 94 across all three clys I was seeking 110-120 On a freshly rebuilt 2 stroke 6.5:1 650 it was reading 150psi across both cyls. The third time I went to use it, it was leaking at the schrader valve as posted by the first reviewer. He is 100% correct it is not designed for the application.

It served my purpose for the time I needed it, but I doubt I'll trust it further as a accurate tool.

Bought it, came home, tested it on motorcycle...no luck.... tested on car with good compression, no luck. Doesn't go past 60 psi dont know if the adapters are universal, but gauge is DOA. It needs that special something, which is an actual working gauge. lol

I use compression testers atleast once a week. I keep two on hand so I can compare the accuracy. This is a must when I am giving the reading to a paying customer. I have found this gauge to not be accurate, in fact about 30psi off. I have another one harbor freights compression testers item number 92697 which is much more accurate when comparing them, the only problem is it does not come with all the attachments.

What a piece of junk, no matter what you test it never goes above 90 psi,
I bought a second one thinking the first one was just bad. The same thing.
Borrowed a good one and found the compression to be 160 psi.
Found the gauge was OK it's the hose that's the problem

I bought this hooked it up to my bike. Started kicking the kickstart and nothing at all. Nothing! I went to the auto parts store and bought another one. I had 150 on each cylinder. Sometimes HF sells stuff thats worthless like its hand planers for example. DO NOT BUY THIS! I shouldn't have trusted it in the first place. If you need to measure something on the engine that going to cost you a ton of time if the reading is incorrect just spare yourself the insanity and buy one you know will work.

I got this new when shopping for a used snowmobile. After reading low 90's I walked away from 3 deals (should be 125+). Yesterday I was shopping with a friend and same thing, ~90. The seller had another shop quality tester and all 3 cylinders read 135. Who does calibration and QC at US General and allows product that is off by 35% to ship? What a piece of junk.

We bought this tester for our service department to check equipment in the field. I wasn't worried about accuracy - I just wanted a cheap tester that would show a mechanical failure to warrant bringing a machine in for repair.

This gauge is so poorly made the needle doesn't even jump if there is a leak. To make matters worse, when hooked up to an air line, air leaks out of the fitting and bloats the hose.

We weren't expecting anything quality but this thing is basically worthless. Gave it to my son to play with - at least he can use it.
