I picked up this grease gun to keep in my Jeep. Works great! After a long wheeling trip with water crossings and lots of abuse; it makes quick work for pushing the water out of the joints. And its compact and one handed operation is a relief. Gives me the comfort and satisfaction that my rig will make it back home without destroying water logged parts.

I purchased this compact grease gun for one purpose: to lubricate my trailer's EZ Lube axles. I also wanted a grease gun small enough to carry in my trailer's tool box so that in an emergency, I would have all the supplies necessary to rebuild an axle hub. This grease gun is perfect.

The coupler locks securely into zerks, the plunger system does not leak, and after an initial priming of the pump handle, about a quarter's amount of grease comes out with each squeeze.

I have two recommendations for when you assemble the grease gun: First, make sure the rubber washer/O-ring that seals the gun assembly to the grease tube is flat; mine was bent and had to be reseated. Second, apply a little teflon tape to both the tube as well as the threaded plug before you fill the grease gun with grease. This will prevent the tiniest amount of seepage that occurs with all guns.

Bottom line: This is a great grease gun for a specific use. I wouldn't use it for high volume, high frequency applications; there are other larger grease guns with flexible tubes that are better suited. But, I didn't buy it for that.

I used it to service 4 grease fittings on some sway bar links. Loaded it up from a bulk can o grease. Pulled the handle until grease started to squirt out and popped it onto the zerk. It filled the grease fitting just fine. Loosening the tip of the gun made it come off the zerk easily. Repeat as desired. No problems.

After following instructions, went to squeeze handle to make it work could not budge it at all!! Took it all apart to see if handle would squeeze - no luck, even tried squeezing it in a vise, would not budge. Definetly diffective!!! Bought simillar one at other retailer, no problem, can squeeze grease out great. Only problem with the other retailer model No Instructions!

I bought this to lube a brand new pair of bearing buddies (BB) on my trailer. Very first use it would not release from the Zerk fitting to the extent that I applied so much force trying to get it off that it pulled the BB out of the hub. I was then left with BB attached to the grease gun so gripped the BB in a vise and pulled for all I was worth - so much that the BB spring retaining clip bent allowing clip, spring and piston to come out of BB ruining it. I was left with BB piston and Zerk fitting still firmly attached to grease gun. [...]

I bought this at my local Harbor Freight to grease up a new set of tie rod ends. It didn't want to fit on a set of 1/4" 28 tpi (read: small standard size) zerks even after loosening up the female end of the gun. Once I persuaded it on, it wouldn't release without the aid of some Vice Grips, and ultimately ripped out the zerk the second time I used it. It also ruptured the dust/grease boot on the other tie rod end from extreme overpressue, even though the tie rod end was a self-regulating unit designed to avoid such things.

Long story short: Buy a real grease gun so you don't have to do the same job over and over again. I ended up buying a full sized brand-name one from the parts store and have had no problems with it whatsoever.
