Used to remove pilot bearing from a mustang cobra, it was a little too large to slide into the bearing so, I used the angle grinder to remove a little material from the tool so it would go into the bearing completely. For the price who could argue?

read the review on how it worked on a toyota pick up, decided to buy it since I needed to change my pilot bearing on a 1997 toyota 4runner 4cyl manual. After opening the box all exited I quickly seen the pilot bearing diameter was just a lil too small for this pilot bearing puller. I just wished they had one for mine

This thing worked great!!! I just bought it today (2/24/12) To remove the pilot bearing case from my 82 toyota pickup. The bearing broke on me when i tried to remove it without a puller and only the case of the bearing remained. this baby pulled it right out with ease.

Used this to pull the pilot bushing from a 73 AMC 232 engine. the bushing was a little to long for the puller arms, so I ground them back a little. After that it took about 30 seconds to get it out. nice tool for the price.

Had to remove a rear oil seal in my 2001 Sportage which is hard to reach and could not use the old standard, screwdriver. This tool worked great! Once I was able to get the jaws on the seal it pulled out in less than 1 minute!
I only gave it 4 of 5 stars due to its limited reach & diameter.

It worked as intended! I had to remove the pilot bushing from an AMC 360 V-8. My other pilot bushing tool was too small to remove the .750" id bushing. A professional removal tool would have cost up to $200 and no one had one to loan/rent. For the price, I couldn't beat it!

It is a light duty tool for hobbyists and perhaps not professionals. For that reason only I rate it 4 out of 5 stars.

I lacked space to use a slide hammer puller under my Jeep to pull the clutch pilot bushing. The bushing is around 0.58", far too small for this puller until I ground down the backside of the 3 arms on my bench grinder. After that, this tool pulled the bushing smoothly and easily; much more gentle than the slide hammer.

I bought this puller because the High Buck slide hammer Pilot Bearing puller that I was using only has two jaws and wouldn't pull the bushing on my 1968 IH Pickup. This little jewel hooked up and sucked the bushing out the first try. I may never use it again and I would have still payed twice the price to get that #%$& bushing out.

Seems to work ok. I welded a nut to the end so i could use it on my slide hammer and it worked good.

Went into this with my eyes open, to pull the pilot bearing from my Toyota Tacoma. Bearing ID was 0.475 so I knew the tool would need modification. About 45 minutes on a bench grinder and some touchup with a Dremel tool allowed this to fit and pull out the pilot bearing. Less traumatic on the crankshaft than a slide hammer would have been. I'm happy. Just be careful when tightening down. Don't horse it. Give the tool time to work.
