Bought this to tow my pickup truck behind my suburban to the garage, seven miles down a steep hill. The GVWR of the truck exceeds the rating for this tow bar, so I took it slow and easy. Yea, the towed vehicle pushed me occasionally, but there was no sign of wear on the tow bar. I had to build a custom mount to attach to the towed vehicle front tow hooks instead of the bumper. Bought the HF trailer safety chains too.

This item has saved me so much time and trouble getting vehicles to the shop, and even when I purchased a new one. I don't need anyone to drop me off, I just throw the tow bar in and when I get the other vehicle I throw the tow bar on the one I drove there and tow it home! Great when I broke down too. Just hauled it home myself.

I bought this to pull my original Ford GT40 behind my Vega. Worked like a charm. That cosworth Vega has a lot of power and I was able to easily hit over 85 mph (I don't condone speeding) through the Eisenhower Tunnel on the Great Divide. Only (minor) problem was I snapped a couple of the QD pins during the Baja and rolled the Ford. Note this bolts right on to the GT40 and Cobra's also. Don't think just buy it. Just don't go towing something huge like a bus. F550 and smaller is ok though.

What can I say but "WOW". I bought this with one thought in mind: To tow junk cars to the metal recyclers. The only problem I had was removing the bumper on the 95 Taurus I towed to the yard. I was about to purchase a similar one that was not adjustable from the auto parts store for $120. I paid [$] for mine online. (I didn't realize at the time that they were stocked in my local Harbor Freight Tools)I had no problem with the installation. The hitch hooked up nicely to my 2" ball. My concern was with turning and driving in reverse. It pulled the 95 Taurus as easily as my boat.While I don't have a Motorhome, I feel this would be useful in towing your car so you would not have to use your gas guzzler when you got to where you were going.

Use it behind my 31' Motorhome to tow my Mini Land Rover. Also bought those magnetic Tow Lights and a couple of Tow cables. Total spent on the whole setup [$] on sale. Been using it for Thousands and Thousands of miles no problem. Could have bought them fancy ones for 20x as much.

Have put over 3000 miles on this tow bar. Regularly take it to speeds over 80mph. I recommend the vehicle you are towing has good tires, with good inflation, and a good alignment for speeds over 65mph.

I even hit 95mph in the deserts of New Mexico with no problems.

I was towing a Porsche 924 loaded with greater then a thousand pounds of tools and batteries.

Usually I'm just using it to tow an electric car a few hundred miles to a show, but surprised how well it worked across country.

I get 15+mpg

We used it to tow a car from the Northeast down South to FL. Worked flawlessly. Way cheaper than buying a tow dolly

The two adjustment nuts need to be replaced with nylon locking nuts. The original stacked nuts backed off while RV towing.

I made adaptor inserts for the tow hooks on the front of my F150. Can be done for any truck with tow hooks.

Works like a dream.
