I got one for my job, and is working great, for a small transmission, and or gasoline tank, even some rear differentials. For bigger jobs, you should get one bigger jack

After reading the other reviews, I was skeptical about buying this jack. I was worried about it not working or having to bleed it. Fortunately, it worked just fine for me. I did notice when removing a transmission, if the weight isn't centered on the jack, the hydraulic piston will bind and not want to come down. For the price you are paying, this is a good jack for the money. Definitely intended for a hobbyist and not daily use.

I ran into the same issues as others. Sometimes doesn't want to work. One issue it wouldn't vent and lower or raise. I removed the fill screw and it worked fine. But who wants to have to deal with spilled hydraulic oil and having to add more oil freqeuntly.

Worked once to remove 100 transfer case and then would not lift back up. Bled 20 times and still doesn't work.

They do not carry this jack in the store. I had to order it off the internet. A week later the one that arrived was different than the picture. Whatever. Put it together and it worked. Put my 2003 Dodge Ram 3500 on the rack to replace the clutch. Dropped the Transfercase, worked great. Went to jack it back up to remove the tranmssion. Wouldn't jack up its own weight. Bled it 10 times, took it apart looking for blown seals, still doesn't work. Now I have a 8500 truck on the lift with a 450lb manual transmission and no tranny jack. I almost never have problems with harbor freights mechanical, not electric, tools. Not so lucky this time. Scratching my head now.
