Off-Road Vehicle Winch with Automatic Load-Holding Brake

Well the fairlead was too small but the manager at the local northbrook harborfreight swapped it for me for a full size. Got the mounting plate with it for my jeep tj unlimited. This thing is great. Cant beat the deal and the hf people were even better to help with the fairlead. For the money there isnt a better deal out there. Used it to pull a dually out and it handled it like a geo metro.

Over all great winch the hf mounting plate fit right to my jeep yj no problem , and the 6000 pound winch bolted right up to the plate , the fair Leed was wrong but hf manager gave me a 9000 pound fair Leed , no questions asked from a return , thing works great , and if you use a snatch block doubles to 12,000 pounds . Recommend this to anyone who would need a winch.

Put this on my car hauler and use it atleast twice a week for my race car and have hauled many dead cars/trucks hasn't failed me yet!! Yes the fairlead is for an atv winch but WILL work just fine take out one of the rollers by removing one of the snap rings put the cable through it than replace the snap ring and mount it no big deal!!

I purchased this winch for my car trailer after my 8000lb Mile Marker Winch broke.

This winch was not only cheaper, but more compact and quiet. The lever for the line out, i think is the best thing they could have done. My Mile Marker had a button and i always hurt my finger when trying to release it. Seems to be a really good quality winch. I used it 2 days after i purchased it to move a car, and that winch pulled the car not just out of the mud but up a pretty decent incline without any struggles!

Some of the bad things about this winch is there are many wires that are exposed (4 total). Also i have a Flatbed trailer and there was no mounting template with a pattern to drill my holes. Instructions are a little difficult to read but not impossible.

If this winch lasts me 1 to 2 years, ill be happy! If it lasts longer, it will be a bonus!

I bought this along with the wireless remote (item#69229) to move some large (36" diameter) pieces of wood up a steep slope. The winch did fine. The corded remote worked like it should, the wireless remote did not work at all. Not a deal breaker, I ended returning the remote and keeping the winch. I like it.

Great winch for ur money I had to pull a f-250 exstened cab 6 foot bed with a 6.0 deisal motor up a slick hill it had no problem to pull it up the hill an the bad things about the winch I havent found any yet

I have had this about two months, and used it all most a dozen times. Biggest loads have been single line pulls of my very stock 4,000lbs 4wd off/out of deep ruts, short pull up a hill side, maybe 25ft of way deeper than it looked puddle. More mundane uses like trees and non-opt vehicles.

I put this on my 94 jeep wrangler witch weights around 5klb. this winch can pull me and heavier trucks with no problem. hasent let me down yet. plus with the warrenty it works out grate

I used it in my racecar trailer.....went out in 2 weeks after the 4th time using it....got another ....if it goes out shortly ...I'm buying a warn
