this is the best to fit the great HF 12000 winch. I used this to modify to a Double hitch mount. Where the winch plate is welded to the top and allows for the tow ball on bottom. Has allowed me to tow a car dolly and winch at once and then use the winch to move disabled cars onto the dolly. This is also great to modify to make a carrying winch plate for the HF 12000 winch, which does not fit the thinner carrying mount that HF has for the 6000 winch.

This fits the Wrangler YJ perfectly. The bolt holes match up out of the box. You can use the extra holes to mount lights, air hose fittings, or whatever you want. It's a great foundation for building up a custom front bumper of your own design.

I am using mine to build a custom hidden, behind the bumper winch mount for my 2004 F150 4x4. Yes I had to do a little bit of work with an angle grinder and cutoff wheel, but it's worth the effort. I can't buy raw steel and weld up my own mount for this price. Well worth the $$... I am amazed the Jeep guy was crying it didn't fit his Jeep. Any idiot knows Jeeps, even CJs, YJs, TJs, JKs etc... have changed many times over the years... Just drill the thing and be done with it!

the only mount that I found on the market that is reasonably priced and I made mounts to fit my truck and that worked to mount the channel with the winch on the front of my bumper and works great to test it I pulled a full size bus out of a ditch on problem the mount didn't bend it works great. thanks

I have bought a handful of these for custom projects. You cant even buy raw steel for this price. With a little work, they can be made to fit any application.

This is a rugged piece of steel. 1/4 inch thick with holes all drilled to fit the winch & fairlead. Certainly don't need this mount if you have a rugged base on your vehicle to mount the winch & fairleed to. However,By Using this mount, it makes it easy to center the fairlead with the winch, even though you may still have to modify it or do some welding to make it fit a particular application. In most cases I think it would be wise to get this bracket with the winch

I can't believe that the one vehicle, most likely, to be using this product; it doesn't even universally fit it! Debating on returning or modifying to make it work. Seems like quality from the weight of it. Couldn't buy the raw steel for this cheap.
