Ordering and Payment

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept MasterCard, VISA, Discover and American Express. If you would like to pay by personal check, money order, or wire transfer, please call our customer service department at 1-800-444-3353, Monday through Saturday, 5:00 am to 9:00 pm (PST) and Sunday, 6:00 am to 6:00 pm (PST).

Will my order be charged tax?

Sales tax is applied to orders in all states with a Harbor Freight Tools retail store. The following states will NOT be charged tax: AK, DE, HI, ME, MT, NH, OR, DC, SD and VT. Taxes are calculated based on the shipping address. Gift cards are not subject to sales tax.

When I enter my credit card number over the Internet, is it secure?

Yes, it is a secure page. Our secure servers fully encrypt sensitive data for safe, trouble–free transactions. We utilize the latest security methods and fraud detection techniques to protect any and all information you entrust to us. Harbor Freight utilizes the Secured Socket Layer (SSL) protocol to insure the safety of your transaction. Shopping online with your credit card is safer than shopping at your local store or restaurant.

Can I use two coupons at the same time?

You can use multiple coupons on one order, but no more than one coupon per product. Limitations may apply, see coupons for details.

Can I buy an item I saw in one of your catalogs through your website?

Yes, you can order an item from a printed catalog by clicking where it says "Order from Our Catalog" at the top of every page on the site. Then simply follow the directions on the page to add your items to the shopping cart and place your order.

Policies

What kind of warranty do your products have?

All items are guaranteed to be as described and illustrated. If for any reason you are not satisfied with any item purchased, you may return the insured product within 90 days for a full refund or replacement, whichever you prefer. Shipping and handling are non–refundable. Many of our products also offer additional manufacturer’s warranties. Please see individual product details pages for additional warranty information.

Where can I find out about your Extended Service Protection Plans?

For more information regarding Extended Service Protection Plans, call (888) 838–3421, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Choose the Repair Plan or Replacement Plan, with a 1– or 2–year term...either way, you’re getting extended service protection for all your Harbor Freight tools that are electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, battery–powered or gasoline–powered.

I have an item that has a lifetime warranty. How do I get it replaced?

Will my email address be shared with other companies?

We do not disclose or share email addresses with anyone.

Will my street address be shared with other companies?

We occasionally make our customer list available to carefully screened companies and organizations whose products and activities might be of interest to you. If you'd rather not get these mailings, please copy the entire preprinted address portion of your order form, including your customer number located above your name, and send to: Mailing List Manager, Harbor Freight Tools, 26541 Agoura Rd., Calabasas CA 91302.

What if I no longer wish to be included in your mailings?

If you decide you no longer wish to receive Harbor Freight's money–saving coupons, special event notices and exciting tool offers, the best way to opt–out is to use the link at the bottom of the email messages you receive. That link provides a one–click confirmation opt–out that is instant. If you choose not to use that link, you may send an email request to mailto:mktdelano@harborfreight22.com with the word "REMOVE" in the subject line and your email address in the body. With this secondary method,it may take up to a week to remove your address from the file.

How do I order replacement parts?

Shipping and Delivery

How long will it take to receive my order?

Depending on where your order is being shipped to, most non–overweight shipments will take between 4–6 days to be delivered from the time your order leaves our warehouses. Overweight items that ship via truck freight can take between 1-2 weeks to be delivered. Please see our Shipping Details page for more details about delivery times.

How long will it take to receive my order if I send a check or money order?

Orders paid for via check or money order usually can take up to 48 hours to process from the time they are received. Once your order is processed, standard shipping times apply. Please contact Customer Service at 1-800-444-3353, Monday through Saturday, 5:00 am to 9:00 pm (PST) and Sunday, 6:00 am to 6:00 pm (PST), or email cs@harborfreight.com for additional details regarding payment with a check or money order.

How will my order be delivered?

Harbor Freight Tools uses, FedEx Smart Post, Ground and Home Delivery to ship your orders to you. We also offer FedEx Next Day and FedEx Second day shipping options. For more information regarding shipping options, please see our Shipping Details page.

Do you ship outside the United States?

Do you ship to PO Box address?

No, Harbor Freight Tools cannot ship to PO Box addresses.

What is a lift-gate charge?

A lift-gate charge covers the cost of delivery by a truck with a lift-gate. This special delivery may be necessary if you do not have the equipment to offload certain overweight items. Please contact Customer Service Inbound Sales at (800) 423-2567 for more information.

Order Status

What is the quickest way to check on my order?

If you are a registered customer with Harborfreight.com, you can login to your account using your email address and password and check the status of your web orders. If you have not registered with harborfreight.com yet, you can still track your order placed on HarborFreight.com by using our Order Tracker. All you will need is your order number from the invoice you were emailed. You can only check the status of orders placed online using the order tracker page. If order through a catalog, by calling in, or through a retail store, please contact Customer Service at 1-800-444-3353, Monday through Saturday, 5:00 am to 9:00 pm (PST) and Sunday, 6:00 am to 6:00 pm (PST), or by email at cs@harborfreight.com for updates on your order status.

What is your return policy?

If for any reason you are not satisfied with any item purchased, you may return the insured product within 90 days for a full refund or replacement, whichever you prefer. Shipping and handling are non–refundable. GENERATOR RETURNS – Any generator returned for any reason after the 90 day satisfaction guarantee period will be subject to a 20% restocking charge and must be returned freight paid.

All returns require a Return Authorization Number before they can be returned to Harbor Freight Tools. Please contact Customer Service either by calling 1–800–444–3353 or by emailing cs@harborfreight.com to receive a Return Authorization Number. Please make sure to provide your name and invoice number and a brief description of the reason(s) for the return.

Yes, you can return an item purchased online by taking it to one of our retail stores. You will need to have a copy of your invoice to return an item in a retail store.
