A socket and a bolt fell through a hole in my pocket while walking across the front lawn. I spent about 15 to 20 minutes searching for them to no avail. It only took a single pass with this baby and the search was over.

It is powerful and makes a clear, loud clunk noise whenever something is picked up. Now I always sweep the garage floor with it after every project. No more fear a nail or a screw would puncture a tire.

I absolutely love it and recommend it to anyone with holes in their pockets ; )

I bought this after a re-roof on my home. The roofers had one of these, but I didn't trust their thoroughness. I was right not to. I looked for one of these at the usual big box stores, and none of them had them. Also found a place to rent one for $30 per day. Then remembered Harbor Freight, and found this one there. Easy assembly, and it works great. Was shocked at how many nails were in my yard. It makes a nice "clank" sound when you find a nail so you can quickly remove it from the magnet before it is dragged of by the grass. Highly recommend.

I recently bought this sweeper. Today used it on a burn pile where we had recently burned lumber from an old shed. I had given up pulling the many nails. The minute I put this sweeper on the ash pile there was a loud clanking noise as it attracted numereous nails. I quickly filled a bucket with nails. It worked far better then I imagined it would. Also when I roll it along our gravel drive or across the lawn it picks up many small pieces of metal.

I should have got this months ago. Beats air compressor, sweeping and even my yard leaf blower. Super strong magnet picks up the really difficult small shavings and dust. Easy to drop the stuff in a can or outside with the magnet release. Handle is a little flimsy but is still worth every penny.

This product is great. We recently had a new roof put on and even though they cleaned up and swept the yard I keep finding nails everywhere. We bought this and used it in the yard & our stone driveway. So far it has picked up over 100 nails. It paid for itself with no nails in our tires or our pets feet. Works great in the garage too, actually picked up metal shavings. I am also getting the smaller one to use in my flower beds to find more nails.

Should have bought the larger model to make roofing screw pickup faster, but then smaller size is easier to use in garage. Always finds a nail every time I use it in the driveway. Annoying to store, will have to hang it by the handle on a nail somewhere.

Do grinding and welding and always run this over the concrete to pick up scrap metal and grinder waste. Wouldn't be without it.

I used this to pick up nails and screws from my yard after disassembling a deck. The only thing I can think of that would back it better is if the clearance was maybe an inch or so higher.
