replaced baldor motor which died with this one and so far no problems. It gets limited use per year but runs like its more than 1 HP like other reviewer said.

This motor runs like it's more than one HP. It starts very quickley even with a load. I installed it on a 6x48" belt sander with a 12" disc. I've loaded it down with steel harder than anyone would actually grind something, and it just keeps pulling! Very happy I bought this one.

I bought this as a replacement motor for my lathe. Powerful motor quick start up and easy to wire, but the wiring is backwards. You have to wire it counter clockwise to make it clockwise and vise versa. . The power button didn't work. I will be returning this product.

purchased 3 over a 5 day period and all three fail to work correctly. the first motor has a loose connection P1 and could really cause a fire. The wire was cold soldered and loose, my first impulse was to re-solder the wire, but decided not to because it was a new unit. The 2nd motor had shaft bering problems. I could not turn the motor by hand and had to use a set of pump pliers to get it to turn, of course this was found after I had wired the motor. Went back and picked up a third unit. I checked for problems in the above noted 2 area's and found everything ok. I wired unit and plug it in and it started, It was working. I went to use the stop button and it did not work. I could feel that it was not right and the push button seem to have something inside preventing it from working correctly. I feel that I have tried my best so now I'm returning the 3rd unit and getting my money back and then going to purchase another from someone else. This motor was slated as being the best of the best, however I found it was the worst of the worst. My budget does not allow for 4 trips to HF at these gas prices.
