Had a repair to do at the house wanted to get a vacuum just for clean up. Didn't want to spend a lot of money and figured I would buy a cheap vacuum. I ended up buying a very good product. Am sorry I doubted this products ability.

I originally bought this small shop vac to attach to my drywall sander (to keep from trashing my wife's vacuum). I keep finding other ways to use it and am extremely satisfied with it's capability. This fall I used it to empty the bilge on my boat and it sucked up so much water so fast that the ball float shut off the suction before I realized it. Light and easy to carry it may not have the suction to hold up a bowling ball but it will definitely clean up most things (icluding small stones and mortar or grout). If you want to spend a lot of money for lots of bells and whistles go ahead but if all you need is a reliable, really good little shop vac this will take care of what you need. I consider this an excellent bargain.

Purchased this little vacuum for small clean-ups around the shop. It's light and easy to carry around for the times a bigger unit isn't needed. Motor is actually quite nice, very smooth running and not overly noisy. Lots of suction for such a little unit, plug the hose and it actually tries to deflate it's canister. Can use the same cloth filters as the 5 gallon unit HF sells with a little persuasion.

Unfortunately, mine was broken right out of the box...

The unit had very clearly been dropped, and the heavy motor had snapped off its plastic mount. Since I purchased it on sale I figured I might as well take a crack at fixing it myself. Sure enough, the moulded grey plastic mount had shattered like glass(two screws on thin plastic "fingers").

Not one to give up, some scrap aluminium plate, a milling machine, and thirty minutes later it was cleaning up the same mill that had made its new motor mount. Been running like a top since.

Basically, it's a great little vacuum for the money. Don't man-handle it and it will likely serve well within it's limits. Hopefully the manufacturer will improve the design to make it more robust.

I wanted a small shop vacuum to use on the boat, in the car, and around the garage/house. This one is small and light, which was nice. It worked well for about 2 years of light use, then I dropped it from about 4 feet onto concrete and it hardly develops any suction and is much louder. I went to a different store and was able to buy a well known brand with a lifetime warranty that was much more powerful for the same price as this one.

It's not the vacuums fault that I dropped it, and when it was my only shop vacuum, it served the purpose well, but I think there are better values out there.

WORKS OK BUT NOT FOR DUST OR POWDER. LIGHT AND EASY TO CARRY AROUND.

i use this to vacum saw dust, it doesnt suck it up well at all and the blows it out the blower end causing dust to go everywhere but vacum
