Had some small onyx tiles that needed buffing and polishing. Had to get(make) a loose cloth polishing wheel, but it did agreat job.

Inexpensive small grinder. The unit has a HIGH rpm and works VERY well for tungsten electrodes. The fine grit + HIGH speed works = nicely shaped electrodes.

I have a full-size grinder but I hardly use it now. For small and misc jobs this unit is perfect. It doesn't have a lot of torque, but it also is less likely to throw your work. Forget the power cable accessory, just use for basic grind and polish. So small it fits in a drawer!

I (silversmith) am very happy to have a well functioning compact unit at a fair price.

I hope to buy at least one more soon as the store restocks or I find additional savings online.

Great little grinder/polisher 0 mine is the older model with variable speed control. Immediately took my dremel to the idiotic shrouds surrounding the wheels - which make the thing almost useless - but are there because of lawyers to be sure. I sharpen knives - lawnmower blades - grind stuff down etc . . MAIN COMPLAINT - they DO NOT offer the polishing/buffing wheel as a separate item - they only sell the grinding wheels and the polishing wheel as a set - but I use the fine coarseness of the polishing wheel to get a perfect edge and it wears out 50x faster then then grinding wheel. So I but a set - and throw away the grinding wheel. If they sold the polishing wheel separate I would buy several.

I moved to a small apartment and needed something quiet to do small jobs. It fits the bill perfectly. It is much quieter than my Dremel.
Draw back, it is a bit under powered because it is not a brush motor. It's capasitor start. Thus it lacks torque. The stone is good but the buffer wheel is a joke. I comes apart and blows fuzz all over when in use.
All in all with price considered, it's a good buy.

Got this to grind tungsten electrodes, but the stone wears down too fast and it's not that powerful. I went to Harbor Freight and they don't have any replacement grinding wheels for it. All they sell is the replacement wheels for the mini grinder that has the flex shaft on it. Will return it for refund

You can only buy a grinding and polishing wheel combo. Polish where 100 times as fast as grinding wheel. They need to make whire wheels for it and other 3" wheels.

Don't buy it until they sell wheels for this thing unless you only want to grind.
