these lathes turn threads i hope. they have a steady rest,but they dontb show a live centar to be used with a steady rest.more detailes are needed on this site for a machine of this cost.also no collet provision as noted by one reviwer.a complete manual should be available on line to show what these lathes can do.are the collet part interchancable with ones rediably available?

I have owned this lathe for a year and a half and have completed many projects on it. It really has a nine speed transmission with two belt positions for a total of 18 spindle speeds. The two ranges are so close together I can't ever see myself moving the belt. Mine is Green and has a THREADED SPINDLE. This description is nowhere close to the lathe you will receive if you order the 12x37, so make sure you know what you are getting and that is exactly what you want. For example, the actual lathe has a norton gearbox instead of what is pictured.
