i use these as kayak stands,i have 2 of them for both kayaks,,works great,just set the chain links to the width of the kayaks,,there you go,dont have to buy and make one out of PVC pipes.Right heght for me to also work on my kayaks.

This stand is very handy. I use it to work on bicycles. I also use it as a sawhorse. It can be used as work stand. It will hold 200 pounds, but if you move it around with that much weight it will bend. Best to keep the weigh around 100-150 pounds.

Best used as a temporary work stand. I set it up on the back patio, place some plywood on top (with two 2 x 4 attached underneath next to the foam rails- outside) and use it as a bench to sand, paint and assemble parts; upholster car seats and panels, and other things. I also tape some kraft paper (brown mailing paper) to keep the work top semi clean and replace when dirty. It's easy to setup, use, tear down and store for the next project. I'll probaly get another unit so I'll be able to setup several projects at once.

I have 4 of these stands, and have used them continuously for a couple years. Just like the ones that many body shops use. I have had just over 100 pounds on one, no problem. Very useful for automotive work and the quick work table. They aren't saw horses, but they can do a lot of things saw horses can't.

I bought this to work on car parts, fenders, hoods, trunk lids, etc. Works good for that. However I would not trust it to hold 200lbs like it says it will. That's reason I'm giving it 4 stars, otherwise good product

I have used this for numerous body work projects on cars with no issues. It has held up weel for the 2 years I have used it.

This is pretty good stand for doing automotive work or maybe wood work etc. Good value compared to other name brands

After a few unsuccessful attempts to look at this item at a retail store, I ended up ordering it online sight-unseen.





If you look at the picture this stand looks to be about the right size to support something like a table saw. You'd expect it to have about 18 to 24 inch square work surface, and be about 24 to 30 inches high. About the same as a saw horse. But it's much bigger - measuring over 3 feet from front-to-back along the foam covered tubes. Additionally, if you open it as far as the chains will allow, the height is less than 2 feet, which seems rather low to the ground for a stand that is so wide. (Of course you can always hook the chains at a shorter point to make the stand higher, though less stable.)





The next flaw is the way they designed the attachment points for the chains. They used eye bolts and hooks that are mounted on the side of the tube such that they collide when you try and fold the stand (often getting tangled with the chain). As a result, the stand is always stuck at a point that is about 6" open, so you can't easily hang it on a wall or tuck it behind something.





Lastly, it doesn't feel all that solid. I'd be leery about putting 100 pounds on it, never mind 200.





If it had only one of these flaws, I'd fix it by cutting the tubes or moving the chain attachment points, and consider it an OK deal for the sale price (about half the regular price), but with 3 significant flaws, it just isn't worth the bother and is being returned.
