Lots of reviews to read - Bottom line - Great Value for the money - especially if you use one of those 20% or 25% off deals. You could not even find the materials to make this from scratch any cheaper than this kit.

Not for the anxious assembler. Read it from front to back, re-read it again, organize all the hardware, even measure the screws for yourself as they do not match what is said in the listing. Never assume anything - such as using a washer where they do not call for one (drawers).

Drawers are tricky - there's no denying that point. Flexibility, nimble fingers and perhaps a little of Houdini required.

For those who do not understand construction of metal assemblies - NEVER tighten screws until you are sure you have all parts in place correctly.

For the drawers to need spacers as indicated in one of the reviews, between the leg screws, the center bracket screws, and the side bracket screws - the holes all have +/- tolerances. If the drawers are falling out or simply cannot attach to both the center and side glides, there was simply too much build up of all the tolerances. Simply squeeze all the legs inward and than tighten. The outside drawer glider brackets need to be pulled or pushed (depending on your point of view) inward and than tightened. If the drawers are too tight, simply pull the legs outward as well as the side brackets.

Assembled with patience (average of 4 hours required perhaps less for those mechanically inclined), and this unit will not be one of those Homer Simpson moment's where he looks at the barbecue pit he just built, but then we see him lowering the view which turned out to be a picture of how the pit should look and he says "D'oh - why doesn't mine look like that" as he whines.

Just now received yet another set op coupons in Handyman and TOH magazines as well as through email for 20% off again. I might just go out and buy a few more of these as well as the wood workbench (93454, 69054) as this is also a great item for the price. So many toys - so little time....

I bought this bench to use for repairing computers. It is fairly easy to assemble, but would be much easier if there was a diagram of the screw sizes.
The drawers were hard to asseble in the unit. I had to add shims to the tracks in order to keep them from falling out.
Everything was in good condition, with the exceptoion of the bottom shelf. It took a hit and one area was slightly cracked and pushed out. I turned it over and used it for the bottom shelf and you cannot tell it was damaged.
For the money, this is an excellent value. If there were diagrams showing what screws are what and the illustrations were better it would really cut down the assembley time from a few hours to a couple hours.
A metric socket and a screwdriver is really all you need for tools.
The light kit is not super bright, but does the job.
I like the fact that the shelves are laminated and are not left unfinished like similar benches.
I initally purchased another bench that used rivets and slots to assemble, but it was a piece of junk compared to this one.
This is a very nice bench for the price. Find yourself a 20% off discount and get this for a steal!
This bench will work very well for what I plan on using it for.

Bought this bench for my wife to use for her jewelry making hobby. For the price, it was perfect. The only thing I added was a heavy duty top. The instructions are actually very good but it did take me nearly three hours to assemble it. There are just a lot of components and one has to expect that with any knock-down product. All of the hardware was included, even an extra washer! As for tools, a 10mm wrench and socket with a 1/4" drive ratchet and long extension makes for a much easier assembly. A couple of small clamps also will make things easier if you are assembling this by yourself. Don't bother using a Phillips head screw driver as the screws are also slotted. A flat blade screwdriver actually makes the assembly easier. The drawers are a bit flimsy, but then you get what you paid for. Buy this when it's on a good sale. It includes a power strip which is built in, a work light, and even a bag of hooks for the pegboard. The item was very well packaged with no damage what-so-ever. Shipping this item could be expensive because it weighs approx 90 lbs. picking it up at a Harbor Freight store is the only way to go. Be sure you have a pick-up truck as it is bulky and probably won't fit in a typical car.

I read the reviews before purchasing, so was worried about assembly. There was no need - I put it together with no major problems. If you can assemble a Walmart bookcase, you can build this bench! I followed one reviewer's advice to sort out all the nuts, bolts, washers, etc, which I put into a muffin tin. This made it easy to get the right bolt for the right hole. I love the bench and for the price it can't be beat.

I researched online and found it to be the best for its price. Has more useful things than others (light, outlets, drawers). It was a little difficult to assemble. Just like the other reviews I read, take your time and label/separate all the screws. Make sure you have plenty time to put it together and don't rush it. You will be very satisfied at the end.

I was skeptical at first due to several of the previous reviews, some people said that it was difficult to set up and some even said they had to drill their own holes. This is NOT TRUE, it was simple to set up and everything works really well so far into using it. The peg board is sufficient and the shelving is stable. The only thing that could be improved are the drawers (they seem a little flimsy) but they work alright. This workbench works well and for the price you cant go wrong.

I needed a workbench for my garage. Settled on this one. Glad I did. Went together fairly easy but would have been better if I'd had some help. Another good buy from Harbor Freight. I love that place.

I purchased two of these to put in my enclosed race trailer to work on small projects, etc.. My first reaction was looking at all the nuts and bolts and thinking to myself "this is why it was [$] " and after I finished putting them togethor, I really like them. I spent about three hours with a power screw driver and socket wrench and everything went as planned. They are not a professional grade, so dont be mad when you spend [$] and expect a more expensive work bench, but for the money... you get more then any other brand of bench out there. I did not have poor fitment issues like other reviews??? I recomend this product for people on a budget.

I am a professional, but not a contractor like you may be thinking. I am a professional baker & caterer. I saw this bench in the summer of 2011 and immediately fell in love with it, but I didn't buy it. I was skeptical as to whether or not it would work for me and if I'd use it. I went home and thought about it for a very long time. Finally, after a very busy wedding/graduation season in 2012, I decided to buy the bench - I really needed more work space. It took my husband and me about 6 hours to put it together - the assembly instructions are horrible! I do recommend you take your time with the directions, the text is horrible, but the diagrams do help. Once together, in place, and stocked as needed, I began using the bench. Now, I wonder how I ever did my work without it! The work surface has a great height (I'm 5'8" tall), which hits me about mid-waist. The bench is VERY sturdy, of very good quality, and worth every penny!
