I bought this meter for an electronics class. Being a broke college student I wasn't looking to spend much so I got this one. I paired it up side by side with a Fluke 87 and the difference was .01 of a volt, which could just be variables in connection points or in the leads. I don't think the sound meter is very accurate but it's not something you use every day. It works great and I use it all the time.

Was a bit hesitant. I am more and more pleased with this meter the more I use it. Darn tough and for the $$$$ is nearly impossible to beat. Accuracy is reasonable. Compared to high end Fluke was within 0.3mV on 1.5V (battery).

Defaults to degrees C even if you select F. Next power up will still be C. Not a big deal but no nonvolatile memory capability.

Didn't think I would like the lighted and beeping jacks but to be honest it's saved me from doing something stupid a time or two. Overall a very good meter.

My main reason to buy a meter was that it seemed a cheap way to get a thermocouple temperature measuring instrument. The thermocouple that comes with the unit only works up to around 400F. At that point the covering around the end starts to scorch. Of course I was inserting it into a hot kiln. If you were placing the end on a hot motor it would probably be fine. I separately bought a higher temp rated thermocouple and have been using it this evening to take 950C temp measurements of a kiln interior. I upgraded to this unit because I thought that the sound and light meter would be occasionally useful in my work. They seem to work fine. Also the thermocouple plugs have worked out. The next model down uses mini connectors that would be too small to directly hook up a 14 ga wire thermocouple. The banana jack connectors are not a standard thermocouple connection but I just got some at an electronics store to use.

I do research and development work in electronic controls and own and use many DMMs. I bought this one because it includes so many measurement functions that I regulatly use in one instrument, and because at times I do not want to take a laboratory grade instrument into an industrial setting. This meter is nothing short of fantastic. Accuracy is phenomenal for its price range. I own precision calibration equipment. I also note that the few reviewers that rated this meter low are in fact badly misusing this instrument. Measuring low ohms with repeatble accuracy requires an expensive four wire instrument. Capacitor quality evalution can not be done with a capacitance meter. It must be done with an ESR tester. Many good new capacitors vary in value all over the map, by their very nature, and this does not mean that they are bad. In properly using this instrument for what it was designed for, I have obtained very good results. I currently own three units of this model.

This meter is all you will ever need. It is the best meter I have ever owned. Versatile and feature-packed, I would put this up against the big names any day for casual use. I promise that if you pull this out around professionals who use strictly the expensive *Fl)&e* brand that you will turn heads.

its input impedance is in fact above 10 mega somebody sugested 500k obviously he has no idea how to measure it or lack proper instruments to do so.

I have owned dozens of DVM's over 30 years as a technician. This is my absolute favorite for field use. The most outstanding feature is the backlit ports. They light to indicate where to fit the probes. Recently I was doing measurements at the end of a long day and when I switched functions one of the led's came on. I found I did not have the lead seated properly in the socket. This spared me lots of effort in testing.

After I bought this meter I just love it. This meter is everything I thought it would be and more! It even has a back light! The reading are very accurate. This meter is cheap in price but high in quality. If you are looking for a good meter with a low price I recommend this one. Even If you are thinking in buying your fist DMM this meter is the best choice.

This multimeter is loaded with features and it is exactly what I needed for all of the work I do repairing and building guitar amps. This is a great meter for the money.

Great DMM cant say anything bad about it except the intruction manual didnt come with it, so i just downloaded it from the website. Very easy to use, and cheap. I will def recomend.
