I needed one these because I was tired of pay the 10% for using them in grocery stores. I did read the reviews before buying but I bought it any way. This product works fine as a limited use coin counter. It is not design for heavy use. The directions on top of the device says not to add more than 6 to 10 coins at a time. I did this and it worked well. It only jammed on me one time.

Man this thing works great! No more miscounting, or forgetting how much you have counted to when the kids interrupt. Just sit back and feed it small amounts at a time and it works perfect for the home counter.

Useless for counting/sorting coins, handy for holding the rolls to fill manually, otherwise a waste of time.

We're entering 2 coins at a time and experiencing:
1. Coins getting jammed in the path between the drop-slot & the sorting exit
2. Coins falling behind the path way between the dark plastic exterior & the transparent interior plastic pathway
3. Coins sorting into the wrong denomination sleeves.

I wouldn't recommend this particular machine to anyone.

My wife bought this thing one day when at HF with me. She thought it would be fun since she likes to collect and cash in our change. She probably still thinks it's fun because she gets to call me and watch me unjam it or shake the change out that falls down inside it, or pry it loose from itself when it binds up. It has a very difficult time handling quarters and you must feed it very slowly. It would be quicker to count out and roll your change by hand. Also this sucker is very noisy.

It's a great idea, but it doesn't work. Mechanism jams frequently dropping in only 5 coins at a time. Can't distiguish between pennies and dimes.
