32 LEDs on AAA batteries is just... dumb. This thing draws about 280ma; that's alot for AAA batteries. It dims quickly. Our kids play with them though, and I imagined battery life was less than desirable before purchasing.

It is BRIGHT for the price for close range use. It is not focused well enough though for distance use. This seems well suited for nearfield lighting needs in the home or shop but not far away lighting needs like hunting; or jobsites where you need it to work day after day WITHOUT recharging.

Just know that 32 LEDs with a pooly designed lens and AAA batteries will have foreseeable and expected consequences. If you expect those consequences, its a great flashlight!

I highly recommend this product for general, as well as technical use. Bright enough to function as a bicycle light, and could be clamped to the handlebar with two s.s. hose clamps.

Put one in the glove box, tool box, fishing tackel box, ANY portable container for that matter! And be sure to take it with you when dumpster diving!

Anyway, you get the point ... ;~)

It is metal not plastic! Nice solid switch! Nice bright flood, so it is very useful for tasks. I use it walking at night, working under the car, trouble light in the car, power failure, grilling at night, and just fun with the kids. Nice hand size, but the head is just a bit big to leave in a pocket. Owned it for 9 months. My favorite flashlight now. Buying more for all vehicles and tool boxes. The tiny 9 led lights were my preference, but they are all slowly failing and no where near the light output as this one. My one desire would be larger batteries. AAA batteries, even lithium, just dont have the multi day duration if used continuously ( still only on my second set of batteries though). Even AA lasts a lot longer.

I use mine to inspect products produced by one of my organization's contractors. I am in QA. The thing is so useful I found issues with their products their inspectors did not find because of the lousy light they were provided. As a result the contractor purchased one of these flashlights for every one of their inspectors so they could see as well as I could. I purchased a simple belt pouch elsewhere for it so my light is always on my belt. I just love the flashlight.

I have several of the smaller 9 led lights that are also very handy but this one "outshines" them. I wonder if the person who thought they were dull might have not properly installed the batteries. I almost got confused by the placement and couldn't find anything that showed definitely how they go in the holder. Finally put two in with + up and one with - up. Then the holder has an arrow to indicate placement in the light toward the bulb end. Couldn't believe how bright it was.

These are great little lights. I bought one for each of my children and my son-in-law. The only one we had trouble with was my wife's. The switch broke on her's the first day. However it was an easy return at Harbor freight and the second one is holding up well. She and I each keep one beside the bed and another in our cars. I purchased them on sale and and found them to be a very good item at an excellent price.

I have had mine for months now and I love it. I found a holder made of nylon and I am able to carry it anywhere. As the others had shared it is a great little powerhouse and I even am buying them as gifts. Give them to all my loved ones.

Great light...I have bought over a dozen of these lights and not a problem with a one. LED's are my new fad because of this light....buy one for each vehicle, garage, and even the wife....Cannot go wrong here..
