I thinned the paint out per the manual and got really good coverage. The spray gun is heavy but not so heavy that I could not manage it.

I used it with an exterior latex right out of the can. Once you get the adjustment made for amount of spray, it works OK. I wouldn't do a house with it.
You really need to be near a deep sink with running water to clean it ASAP.

If you're painting a fence no one will ever see and don't care about neatness or runs go for it! Other than that, you get what you pay for....

I purchased this to paint my ceiling and walls of a newly renovated kitchen. First the paint need to be thinned more than 2:1 making the latex paint useless, as it became too thin and runny. Consequently causing multiple sags. Upon the second cup the machine died. I tried to clear it of any possible clogs and even replaced the tip. However, the pump just died. Actually, having it die was a good thing because it ruinned a portion of my newly textured ceiling by sagging paint that caused the gypsum to become soggy and flaked off. BTW- the syphon stem points forward in the bowl preventing the user from painting the ceiling. In all this is a piece of garbage.
