I bought this to use as a stairwell light. It outperforms a more expensive 'national brand' unit.

I put some batteries in it that were not fresh to test it, and found the light to be plenty bright, as in uncomfortable to look at directly. No reason to believe that battery life will be a problem, thanks to the motion sensor and the auto daytime shutoff.

I'm a paranormal investigator and i have these set up in my house with EMF detectors. They work great. They have come on when something set them off and my EMF detectors also went off. As i recorded on film at the same time caught some good paranormal activity. it has a great wide range also. I have been happy with it as it has been good in others places i have used it. I put it high enough that only a persons height would set it off and no animals can get to where its at. I do have 1 small con though. It doesnt have a alarm on it.That would be great to have but for now, i will use my EMF detectors.

I have 2 and just bought another for my mom so she can get to the bathroom at night without waking herself with a glaring white nightlight or by turning on the overhead. The blue light is just bright enough to safely see your way around but not too bright that it's jarring.
Item must be hung at just the right height so it sees you each time or it might appear to be broken. I moved mine after it was 'finicky' & now it's at just the right height & location to 'see' me when I need it to.
Will make a great gift for those I love. Highly recommended. (Grumpy people who didn't like this product expected it to do something it's not designed for, that's all!)

Not terribly bright with a single white LED, but the silver reflector helps. I also removed the blue plastic cover to get a little more light. I bought 4 of these to hang around the house for power outages and for darker areas. Would work great in a closet as well. Note these don't bolt to the wall or anything, you just hang them like a picture.

I have 1 in the living room & 1 in the kitchen for night time prowling...soft blue light is non-glaring. Not really bright enough to wake you up and hurt your eyes, but enough to see what you're running in to! These would be a great gift for older folks esp in a nursing home or apartment. Lithium batteries keep them going for quite awhile. I'm going to get another one for our RV.

I use one at the bottom of my basement stairs to light up the room. It saved me having to wire for a 3-way switch. I liked it so much, I bought one for a friend. Good battery life.

Handy little light. Good to put floor level to prevent stubbing your toes at night. I put them all over the house for those late night walks.

This little unit is on the dim side, as can be expected, but is reliable. I'm not sure why they put the blue filter on the unit. It has great battery life, and can be counted on to trip as needed after dark, or in a dark location. I have it in a dark carport to more or less let folks know they can be seen, more than to see with. I'd buy it again, but would like a little brighter LED w/o the filter.

We have locker in the boat's galley that needed a flashlight to be held in one hand while the other hand went after the desired object and a third hand was used to steady the person. This automatic light lets us steady ourselves and use the other hand for object retrieval, then shuts itself off. Mounted with sticky velcro tape. A bit dim and would rather have a green LED. (I know, picky)
