I bought 2 of these 6" clamps to use when changing brake pads because my "brake piston tool" wasn't doing the job. I use these clamps to compress the caliper pistons prior to putting them back on the new pads.





These clamps have a very smooth action to them (no binding at all) and work great.





I've also used them a few times to hold a piece of lumber I was cutting by hand.

Ordered these online, half a dozen or so, and the fit and finish is perfect on all of them. Great clamps, at about half the price of the same size C-clamp from the Depot. Even better when they're on sale. Stock up on 'em, they're great!

Picked up two of these for general use around the shop. They worked relatively well, however, working on heavy duty brake calipers, (cargo vans, sprinters) they started to bend and twist. Still able to use, but pushing it. Then attempted to use them for replacing u-joints... I'd say they had a good run, but it was the last job they would be preforming...

Ok clamp for light duty application. Handle bends easily and frame will twist if tighted just a little too much. Description states "Industrial Grade", definately an overstatement. Still worth the price when it's on sale.

The clamp works greats for hand clamping things. Had the metal bar bend on me though twice. To skinny of a bar if you ask me.

It's a simple tool, but what I look for is a strong frame and a smooth running screw mechanism. Tried the screw in store and seemed to be reasonable. The insanity hit when I got home when I tried to cut the warning label off the screw. Cut one side tried to peel label off, it left paper and glue residue, which is extremely diffucult to remove, and if you just run the screw thru the frame it spreads glue and debris inside the frame, thus making the screw sticky, and inconvient to use. Way to go Harbor Freight you added cost and inconvience to a decent tool by listening to your lawyers tell you needed to add this non-sense warning label to the product.

Snapped it the first time I used it. Should have seen it coming when it twisted and bent under moderate pressure.

If you're trying to hold down a piece of wood, great. Otherwise, spend the money on something that can apply more pressure than your foot.
