Purchased these calipers over a month ago, good quality for the price. Big enough display to read- metric and standard measurements. Would definitely reccommend.

I needed a 12" caliper to measure engine pushrods. I knew it was a cheapo but thought I would give it a try anyway. First thing I noticed was how dirty it was from the manufacturer. I had to completly disassemble and clean it as well as remove burrs from the machining process. When opening and closing it was ruff and dragging badly. Cleaned it up and now its better.

It is not stainless steel either as advertised. At least I thought a magnet would not stick to true stainless steel, at least not to engine valves, or my kitchen sink. A magnet sticks to this caliper all day long. It's very easy to use and read plus the case is nice. One to two thou off on my requirements is not a big deal. If you need more precise measurements you may want to look into something else.

You almost always never get a zero reading if you open it up and then close it again, so this makes me wonder what the true reading is when you open it up and then close it on the piece your are measuring.

Overall, not a bad deal. If you can get it on sale or cheaper that would be better.

It calibrated and was accurate but you get what you pay for its priced cheap and built cheap would be a perfect option for somebody who doesn't use it all the time
